Oh good lord I was hoping to get through today without typing the words 'Mobijizz' and 'Ewank' but here goes:

First off, an explanation. Lots of the ads on MN (not all of them) are provided by third party ad providers (we use two companies for this). We DO have agreements in place with these third-party providers to do with avoiding certain content (including porn sites) and there are block lists, but it looks as though this one has slipped through the net. For now, we've turned off ALL third-party-provided mobile ads until our providers can be sure they've found the source of the problem.

Second: hello cellis2014 . Can we ask you please to email us at [email protected]? And we'd really appreciate it if you could email us rather than posting directly on the boards, which isn't something we usually allow companies to do (although we can see why you have in this case).

Everyone else: without wishing to cast aspersions, we cannot vouch for cellis2014's bona fides and, as ever, would warn everyone to be careful about giving out mobile phone numbers, bank details or any other personal info via the interweb to people you don't know.

We will be back as soon as we can tell you for sure that it's all sorted.

Peso as far as I can make out, I clicked on 2 videos, as soon as you click on them it adds money (£6 per video?) on your phone bill or takes credit off you if you're on PAYG. That's usually how these things work.

Teeny it's an iphone app called You Doodle. There are no instructions on how to use it so it's a bit tricky to get the hang of at first.

Rowan I didn't even question that Cellis2014 might not be genuine and I sent her my number without a second thought luckily she seems to be genuine but I shall definitely be taking more care in future!

Peso do you have telephone banking? You could phone your bank and see. If you're with rbs their standard charges are £12 for going overdrawn. (Bastards charges me £12 on sat for being overdrawn by 3 pence for a few hours the month before!)

Is anyone else having the bar change at the bottom? I just had all the pictures changes to broken hearts and lips and exclamation marks. The font on mumsnet went weird too.

Mnhq all the redirects I am having are not on the mobile. The mobile is the only thing I can use without getting the redirects. They came in thick and fast early today from the laptop. Not sure about now because tbh until this is resolved I am not using the laptop again on your site.
It is only on mn that this happens.

I'm having redirects to porn too tonight. I haven't taken a note of what specific site they are as I'm just pressing back a million times when it happens as I get a virus warning from it too. But I'll take a screenshot if it happens again if it helps?

I'm giving up too. I'm actually finding it quite upsetting as I really don't want to see these sites or images on my screen. I've taken screenshots of some of the sites and apps. Hopefully it can get resolved soon.

I'm glad I read this, ive had diverts to the AppStore, I thought it was me hitting something when scrolling or something, it happens from active convos and I'm using a mini via safari, thankfully no porn but just in case I've cleared mumsnet from dds ipad browsing history, as sometimes she's accidently clicked a thread when searching her own stuff, I use hers when mine is flat, the threads I browse on her ipad are content safe but I don't really wanna answer the questions I'd get if this ewank malarkey popped up.
