Happened to me a few weeks back. Must have fallen asleep whilst surfing on my phone and in the morning when I opened it, it was on the e-w@nk screen. I was pretty freaked out to be honest as I'd no idea how it happened. Glad to see it's not just me! Image was very graphic and my kids sometimes play games on my phone, I'd have been horrified if they'd seen it.

I'm sur people have reported this happening before.

I recall people saying this has happened before, surely protocol should have been put in place then to stop it happening again?
Once is a mistake/ error, twice is slightly irresponsible :/

I posted in chat and got a Google warning on chrome on my android phone that it was redirecting me to an unsecure bit.ly link. I tried to get a screenshot but I wasn't quick enough, sorry.

I haven't had it happen on my laptop running chrome yet.

Or at least if I have I didn't notice, I tend to switch off from the ad's.

Is this why I just got a malware warning? I'm on a mac using chrome.

I got redirected at some point in my mumsnet browsing dozed off and suddenly was on a casino app.

Wrote it off as a 'weird thing that happens at night' but now I thought I'd mention it.

Same here, i got a malware warning redirect when using Chrome on mobile site earlier. I think it was when I clicked through to an AIBU thread and it tried to redirect me to another website after.

It's the first time I've ever seen it btw.

I am getting redirected to lots of different places.
Had one to join C&G
Then a weird chat pop up along the lines of congratulations, I have won something from MN. Please take 30 seconds to fill out a form.
Now a dating site. Not sure which one as this is automatically blocked.
All on Chrome.

Just letting you know I was redirected several times this morning between 6.30 and 7 ish this morning-dodgy chat site plus app store plus bum shots of women, very hard to shut down kept being redirected to them over and over. Was on mobile site and on chrome-also noticed add mid page in a diff. Language. This was just through active convos cant remember the specific threads.

I keep getting AVG blocking pix.bit.ly in chat.

Can I ask what is being done or will be done to try and prevent this? I really don't want to be checked TIO at work or at a toddler group or something and as someone looks over my shoulder porn appears on the screen!

It is pretty tricky to figure out. It is happening all over the internet, but because it is not consistent or repeatable it is very hard to fix. It is either a rogue advert, or malicious code or mumsnet, or malware on the users phone. Nobody (not just MN) seems to be able to figure it out yet.
