Some of the responses to posts are hilarious and I just want to show that person that I agree!

Come on mumsnet team it's a no brainer! Smile

Add the word 'agree' if you'd like to see that! (See if there was a like button it would be soooo much easier...)

It's not anonymous, you can see who's liked your posts & so can everyone else. And as for shutting down debate - 'dumbing down' - that wouldn't happen either - the posters who like a good chat are not going to change overnight are they? - they'll probably chat more if anything to up their likability ratings. It's just another small facility that some posters may like to use.

schoolsgettingonmynerves · 19/06/2014 07:30

shakethetree completely agree. Why would it kill conversation? All the people worrying about that are the ones that just wouldn't use the like buttons (but I bet they would after a while!! Grin

Gosh, you are quite tenacious, aren't you?

Sparklingbrook · 19/06/2014 07:37

Eww at 'up their likability ratings'. Sad Who sets out to do that? Confused

Fenton · 19/06/2014 07:38

Well the OP has shown her arse this morning.

What a turn up.

ADD A 'LIKE' BUTTON MUMSNET!!!
ophiotaurus · 19/06/2014 07:39

Look, you've asked. The majority have said no and have done on many occasions before.
If you don't "like" that we don't have a like button, there are plenty of other sites that do.

StairsInTheNight · 19/06/2014 08:04

I vote yes.

Pagwatch · 19/06/2014 08:08

THERE WAS A PAG BUTTON!

Oh my!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 19/06/2014 08:12

And while we are at it can we disallow animated pictures pleeeeeease...

ExitPursuedByABear · 19/06/2014 08:13

Yes Pag. Where were you?

Tut

magimedi · 19/06/2014 08:13

No - it's one of the many things I like about MN is the lack of a lazy 'like' button.

CoteDAzur · 19/06/2014 08:17

"Likability ratings" Shock

Why on God's sweet Earth would we do that to ourselves?!?!

CelibacyCakeandElevatorMuzac · 19/06/2014 08:18

Naw Hump

Pagwatch · 19/06/2014 08:40

I know Exit.

Perhaps we can have a 'someone on mumsnet is talking about you' function. That would work. Mitmoo would be on high alert.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/06/2014 08:44

Blush Tortoise (or anyone.) How exactly do I get hold of an animated insult button?

schoolsgettingonmynerves · 19/06/2014 08:55

That's right I have dared to show my arse this morning. I was thinking of going to Netmums where the scum of society hang out (apparently) but I think I will stay for a while just to annoy you.

ExitPursuedByABear · 19/06/2014 08:59

I was going to tell you, on another thread, but as it was my suggestion I thought I might look like a creepy stalker or be accused of sycophancy.

As if !

KoalaFace · 19/06/2014 09:01

I know this debate has been had many times before but does it always descend into cunting eachother back and forth?!

Seems extreme...

schoolsgettingonmynerves · 19/06/2014 09:05

koalaface I have no idea but it's fun! Join in and call me a cunt. I can take it I promise.

OP posts:
schoolsgettingonmynerves · 19/06/2014 09:07

And by the way it's not extreme at all. We are talking about potentially adding a 'like' button here. This could effect millions of lives everywhere if this is not resolved properly.

OP posts:
LineRunner · 19/06/2014 09:07

But I don't want to call you a cunt. Truly.

HaroldLloyd · 19/06/2014 09:14

Alright your a big cunt.

TheTerribleBaroness · 19/06/2014 09:14
  1. Don't like the tone of the posts.
  2. Not really in the spirit of the site.
  3. Thread started deliberately to inflame.
  4. Troll had run their course and no one is laughing anymore.

Come on MNHQ. You've used all of these recently. At least one should fit the bill.

schoolsgettingonmynerves · 19/06/2014 09:14

Like buttons = lower class mothers and fathers probably sponging benefits and smoking fags outside the co-op whilst pushing a pram full of screaming kids with 16 different fathers. (Netmums basically)

TodaysAGoodDay · 19/06/2014 09:14

'No' to the Like button. This isn't Facebook.
