See I'm optomistic and think this thread will get a bit too long as well LOL..

OP posts:
Caligula · 08/08/2006 08:52

Dammit how long does it take the Daily Mail to publish their comments.

buffythenappyslayer · 08/08/2006 09:00

ive signed the petition and left my comment on the daily mail website.

am emailing everyone i know to get them to sign aswell!!

Tommy · 08/08/2006 09:06

can't believe I'm actually agreeing with an article in the Daily Mail - LOVE the headline.

Whizzz · 08/08/2006 09:12

I added a comment too

Poshpaws · 08/08/2006 09:16

Just wanted to add my support. My Outlook Express is down so can't e-mail, but have signed petition and spreading the word by mouth - I know a lot of new mums .

Keep up the great work, ladies.

gladbag · 08/08/2006 09:21

I send my whole-hearted support to the mumsnet team, and can only say how shocked and saddened I've been by the turn of events over the last day or so. The response has been so fantastic. Have spent this morning scouring the links and adding comments and support where I can.

fullmoonfiend · 08/08/2006 09:22

morning guys! - do a google on nobody's name, then news cache it is AWESOME!!
Mumnsnet Muffia RULES
I love the Daily Mail (for one day only!)

suzi2 · 08/08/2006 09:34

Great work ladies. I'm very proud of you all and getting oddly emotional about all this.

Bugsy2 · 08/08/2006 09:43

Just caught up on all of this. Well done to everyone who got the stories in the broadsheets (& the Daily Mail ). I've been adding comments wherever I can & emailing some of the programmes on the lists too. Am going to fax stuff over to Private Eye later.
Long live Mumsnet!!

How do you suscribe please?

Gizmo · 08/08/2006 09:51

That's what I'm trying to find out JandCsmummy . It's kinda well hidden, and it's been a while since I subbed the site any money...

fullmoonfiend · 08/08/2006 09:58

you don't need to subscribe any more,l but you can pay a fiver to have CAT priviliges (Contact Another Talker)

However, we could all start pledging dosh in case it is needed to any sort of fighting fund?

fullmoonfiend · 08/08/2006 09:59

am hoping we haven't made MNHQ's lives even harder - they must be being bombarded with phone calls/emails for quotes from the media

Bugsy2 · 08/08/2006 10:00

Great idea Fullmoonfield - I'd be happy to contribute to that.

Mercy · 08/08/2006 10:00

Gizmo, I think you can find it in 'Your registration' at the top, along from Useful Stuff

Gizmo · 08/08/2006 10:00

OK, so if you go to the 'contact another talker' page (look for the link in the bottom row of the block of links at the top here) that asks you to pay £5 for a CAT subscription.

Above and beyond that amount, I don't know - I've emailed the mumsnet team to ask directly, but I imagine they're a bit busy at the moment, so there may be a slight delay....

buffythenappyslayer · 08/08/2006 10:03

has 'nobody' made a statement or is 'nobody' just going through their lawyers?

cant find anything anywhere where 'nobody' has commented on all this.

Caligula · 08/08/2006 10:09

I've noticed the Daily Mail have changed the story - it's far more scathing about You Know Who - and it's taken away the comment facility.

Does that mean they were inundated?

geekgrrl · 08/08/2006 10:10

well moondog - how does it feel to be quoted by all the broadsheets?

Super to see such extensive coverage of this. Well done folks, hats off to you all.

geekgrrl · 08/08/2006 10:11

and for the first time ever in my life (and probably the last LOL) can I just say that I love the Daily Mail's headline and article!!!

buffythenappyslayer · 08/08/2006 10:12

the mail still ahvent added any of our comments.do you think they will?or maybe they are worried about getting 'nobody' annoyed aswell!!

laundrylover · 08/08/2006 10:13

Aha, was just going to ask who made the rocket gag but it was Moondog I guess?? Loved it. Am following all this instead of doing any work!

CountessDracula · 08/08/2006 10:14
