See I'm optomistic and think this thread will get a bit too long as well LOL..

OP posts:
fairyjay · 09/08/2006 09:00

I thought we'd welcoming everyone with open arms -any 'rude' comments must be read in context, and were obviously part of a jokey thread.

For goodness sake, we shall soon need to show proof of a sense of humour extraction before posting on a website!!

munz · 09/08/2006 09:00

LMFAO@ saltine! - ooh to be in the bad boys gang! I quite agree it take sa good while to get used tot he posters 'persnalities'

any news today??

WWWLutherKing · 09/08/2006 09:03

another piece in The Times today

WWWLutherKing · 09/08/2006 09:04

and The Mirror!

fairyjay · 09/08/2006 09:07

Balanced article in 'The Times'. 'The Mirror' - well, what can you say?!

Freckle · 09/08/2006 09:08

Blimey, the Mirror report is terribly one-sided.

munz · 09/08/2006 09:09

hmmm wonder who the mirror supports. have they read all MN responces etc?

babyonboard · 09/08/2006 09:12

The Mirror probably has half the newsdesk keeping an eye on what shoes kate moss is wearing today...far more important things than researching an interesting case and producing an intelligent article on it!

Astrophe · 09/08/2006 09:12

Morning Munz

munz · 09/08/2006 09:15

lol@ BOB - be careful now we don't want to get into trouble with the mirror as well

ZippiZapata · 09/08/2006 09:16

I read the mirror one as neutral or in fact slightly patronising towards the other side..especially the quote right at the end of mumsnet saying the episode "rather sad"

People who have joined noticeably in the last few days (and as a general rule at any time I think) are welcomed as far as I read/act unless they post something highly contentious provocative

I don't remember any normal sounding newbie being kicked and sworn at on arrival

Blackduck · 09/08/2006 09:18

Letter in the Indie - peachyclaire???

CountessDracula · 09/08/2006 09:20

Funny how she claims not to have tried to shut the site down and then later it says that her lawyers asked for it to be shut down

ZippiZapata · 09/08/2006 09:20

mind you I don't think it took them long to write..it's a somewhat inaccurate summary

buffythenappyslayer · 09/08/2006 10:09

whats the latest?

sorry havent read the thread since yesterday when i was on it,and theres soooo much more now!!

morningpaper · 09/08/2006 10:11

I read the Mirror one as basically reproducing her press release and maybe giving her a quick phone call

easy page-filler

twinsetandpearls · 09/08/2006 10:27
