Spoofs, Jokes and Trolls

Right.

I want a serious debate about this.

I started a joke thread, in my own name as usual, about a neighbour stealing a spoon.

It was questioned as "trolling" and I got told off by Rebecca at MNHQ.

Are spoofs and/or jokes no longer allowed?

Since when?

And why?

What do people think about spoofs, jokes and trolls and the difference theereof?

I live so close to the shops though, that I just think 'What do I fancy?' and buy it. I don't benefit from bulk buying, I suppose, but I seldom throw away food or waste anything because I only buy what I want to eat. I just don't fancy deciding what I want days in advance.

Hullygully · 28/03/2013 18:30

I hate cooking and I hate thinking about food - unless I am sitting down with wine and a menu of course

Madame I have posted on your thread. I managed to slip in a little insult to the divvy Aussie poster that no one's noticed yet Wink

It's not big, it's not clever but it made me feel better Grin

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 18:34

I am having hot cross buns and sour skittles for dinner.

Dd is going out for dinner. Kid has a better social life than me.

Hullygully · 28/03/2013 18:34

if I lived somewhere civilised where every restaurant wasn't 8 billion quid, I'd take myself out for dinners

I have Waitrose at the bottom of the garden, I have dispatched ds to the grandparents so I may send out for an Indian take away to celebrate and send dh for booze.

Happy days!

TuftyFinch · 28/03/2013 18:39

I'm having (Golden Wonder) cheese and onion crisps, a cream egg and red wine. I might push the boat out and have cheese and crackers later.
Right. I really do want to know about madams thread now because you all keep talking about it.

MadameDefarge · 28/03/2013 18:39

bless ya kate! tis noted and appreciated! gotta give her credit for sticking with it. sign of a true pro!

TuftyFinch · 28/03/2013 18:41

That was kind if Waitrose to open a shop in your garden Kate. I wonder if they'd open one in mine then I could avoid the village shop with Frank and his turgid leg.

Hullygully · 28/03/2013 18:45

tifty, it's the thread about poor people and internet access

OP posts:
KatieMiddleton · 28/03/2013 18:46

It's why we bought the place Tufty. My checklist was this:

Garden - tick
Stairs on the inside - tick
Waitrose - tick

So when this one with all that and Waitrose at the bottom of the garden came up, well, it was fate. I'm waiting on planning for permission to tunnel through. It would save me the 40 second walk.

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 18:53

I can't bear the thought of what is being said on that thread about poor people and the internet access. There are so many uncharitable people who relish the fact that there are people a lot less fortunate than they are. I can imagine what is being said.

Chubfuddler · 28/03/2013 18:54

I've got wine. And a Chinese take away being delivered.

I love living here after 15 years in the arse end of nowhere.

KatieMiddleton · 28/03/2013 18:57

Oh no go and look GetOeuf! Tethers just threatened to shit all over the thread Grin

HotCrossWeaselInSinisterBonnet · 28/03/2013 19:00

I am awaiting a very nice person to ring my door bell and present me curry in exchange for cash.

Chubfuddler · 28/03/2013 19:02

Could someone link the thread please? I have AIBU hidden.

BOEUF · 28/03/2013 19:03

I had to hide that thread Sad

Hullygully · 28/03/2013 19:03

we've got it under control boffy

OP posts:
Freddiemisagreatshag · 28/03/2013 19:05

That thread is making steam come out my ears.

KatieMiddleton · 28/03/2013 19:06

Common sense has prevailed here

FunnysInLaJardin · 28/03/2013 19:06

right 2 things. Why do I not yet have wine when you are all clearly pissed and what is a sook??? btw I was taken out for lunch and the restaurant had a toilet with coloured lights and underwater moving wallpaper. I nearly had a panic attack ffs
