Zombie is old. Zombie is grumpy. She freely admits to those.

Zombie also has one tit left and there are a few posters who are really, really getting on it.

It's getting to the point that she's about ready to take an extended MN holiday just for the sake of her blood pressure and her sanity.

Please, please may we have a hide poster button?

"Deleted because poster clearly can't see that they are wrong and Abs is right"

"Deleted because poster's name is a bit too close to mine for my liking"

"Just because"

If you're guest moderating, do you get access to the MNHQ biscuit tin? Or is that for normal MNHQers only?

BoffinMum · 04/01/2013 12:01

Sorry, let's be clear here. I did not mean simply delete their posts. That would be too uncontroversial. I meant delete them as in the Armstrong and Miller sketch "Kill Them', a la James Bond. Wipe them out. Make them shuffle off this mortal coil. Make them an ex-poster, nailed to the perch. Whatever it takes. I think this would raise the stakes quite satisfyingly whilst appealing to my inner anarchist. Grin

Oh no, we don't share biscuits with everyone Biscuit

Absy · 04/01/2013 12:07

actually, screw the biscuit tin. I want access to the gin collection.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 04/01/2013 12:13

I think you should run a charity auction (beneficiaries: Rebecca and Olivia's martini fund) - 24 hours access to the MNHQ moderation system.

LadyBeagleEyes · 04/01/2013 12:15

I wish I knew who you were all talking about Confused
There are some posters that I virulently disagree with but I just say my piece and leave the thread.
I agree with SM on this.

SPBInDisguise · 04/01/2013 12:17

I doubt we're all talking about the same person/people. Everyone is different and so personality clashes can occur with anyone. I can't bear Frank Skinner but he seems fairly successful so I guess some people must enjoy looking at or listening to him.

Pinot · 04/01/2013 12:27

I've never had a martini.

Or a babycham. I nearly bought some in Tesco but DH said I was actually in danger of morphing into some odd lady from the 1950's.

Anyway that it is RebeccaHQ on this thread so we can have larks and shizzle. Brillo.

Absy · 04/01/2013 14:09

GET YOURSELF A MARTINI

With a twist

from somewhere decent

But not too many as it's pure spirits and about 3 will leave you hammered

Pinot · 04/01/2013 14:13

1 will leave me hammered. Am a reeeet lightweight.

Absy · 04/01/2013 14:15

But it will be a classy hammered, so it's alright.

Also, it has to be very, very cold (the martini, not the weather).

Trills · 04/01/2013 14:22

I don't particularly want a big old glass of gin by itself.

Pagwatch · 04/01/2013 14:26

Gin is low carb.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 04/01/2013 14:34

Martinis are wonderful - they are pretty much 40% proof so 3 indeed will get you sloshed. Plus you get a bit of a snack with the olive. And they are only something like 5 calories each

Vodka martinis only please, not gin.

Pinot · 04/01/2013 14:36

Mmm. I'm coming round to this idea....

Pagwatch · 04/01/2013 14:38

I am 51 and I have never had a martini.
That's awful isn't it.

Pinot · 04/01/2013 14:39

Shall we have one together, darling Paggy?

Pagwatch · 04/01/2013 14:41

Yes. Definitely.

My New Years Resolutions included being more drunk sociable and drinking trying new things

Absy · 04/01/2013 14:43

Yeah, I have only ever had vodka, not gin. First time was when I met someone for afternoon tea in a swanky hotel, and we didn't have any tea. Just martinis and a lot of cake. It was awesome. But now, no alcohol for me [sadface]

Pinot · 04/01/2013 14:48

My NYR were (1) to learn french properly, not this half-arsed version I remember from school and (2) to learn to knit.

I haven't started on either yet.

Drinking martinis seems more preferable, tbh. I shall drink yours, Absy Wink

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 04/01/2013 14:55

My new year's resolution.

GET LAID

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 04/01/2013 14:59

Does anyone know any tall single blokes? Preferably resembling Damian Lewis. ooh or the bloke who played Estes. Or anyone non-ugly.

JustFabulous · 04/01/2013 14:59

I'd like an option to highlight when certain posters, post, and I can go and read their musings straight away Grin.

I don't think you can demand things are changed because they annoy you but maybe it is a sign it is time for a break.
