There's been a few threads recently where the OP was not about begging, emotional vampires, beyond the pale stuff and that ilk.

Just stuff, that if you were having a conversation with your mates, you'd express incredulity.

Why can't these comments be left to stand, rather than a reflex actoin of just zapping them?

Surely there's a difference between a "you've gotta be kiddin" and trill hunting?

Please, please take each comment/thread as a separate case, I really think there's a danger of spoiling the boards with this eagerness to eradicate any implucation of doubt.

Lurking, the problem is, a lot of trolls post about sensitive issues. I hate trolls far more than troll hunters.

Oh, and I thought mnhq are more button happy because a) we are getting more trolls, and they are cleverer and b) the po are reported every eyeroll.

I don't think comments like Maryz examples should be deleted either, especially as tone doesn't really exist on the internet.

Personally I think it's all gone mad.
I asked someone very nicely to clarify a point as the 2 things the poster was trying to claim seemed to be complete opposites.
I didn't get deleted but I did get comments from other posters like stop bullying the op and can we not give advice without being nasty

I just find it so fucking dull and pathetic that unless one is of the hair smoothing there there brigade they are slammed, quite nastily at times, of bullying when it simply isn't generally the case.

If one doesn't tow the fucking sympathy line and asks for clarification on points then they are accused of troll hunting. Troll if you want, but as with any liar, it is rather important to keep your story straight without massive inconsistencies the whole was through. Some people who, in my mind, are bullies appear blind to the bollocks. It is so boring and so frustrating and, more importantly, can and does hurt real people with real shit going on in their lives.
