Thank you very much for informing us of your decision.
I think on the whole, maybe the whole debacle has done some good. I have already noticed posters who wouldn't usually say to another "oi, that's a bit out of order" or "that's a bit distasteful, I'm reporting your post" which I think can only be a good thing.
I'm not saying that the site should become full of 'snitchers' or people who are offended 'for the sake' of being offended (iyswim) but if it means that people put a little more thought into what they type before posting to consider how the op or others may feel, isn't that a good thing ?
As you mentioned in another thread, none of us really know what others have going on in their life, and what may seem silly or irrelevant to us, can be life-changing for others.
I know that because of my 'nod from HQ' 
, I have hesitated before I posted in the past couple of days, because I don't genuinely want to offend or upset anyone. I came on here for a bit of light relief, and have been astounded at the support offered, over such a range of topics. I guess it doesn't hurt us to stop and think sometimes, "how would I feel if that were me ?"
