Unwelcome visitors - and recent "unpopular" threads

Hello

We thought you should know that we've had a few "visitors" lately who have, collectively, been hellbent on stirring up bunfights on the boards.

They're not your average hairy trucker/bored schoolboy/silly perve but a group from another (now defunct, it seems) forum.

They were behind the Unpopular Opinions thread - and a fair few other threads that have kicked off recently.

We're on the case.

But we would appreciate your help with "Hoovering" up any visitors our Ban button may have missed.

So do report any suspicions using the Report link, and we promise to check 'em out - though it make take us a while

That's ok. You weren't really very good at it.

I would ask why, if you are so happy with your site why you all seem to spend so much time discussing MN.

Because some of us actually happen to like both sites, albeit in different ways. Personally I find the SN: Childrens section invaluable here for support.

and then coming over here merely to scavenge idea's to run back with.

I don't. And the only one I can think of is the AIBU.

Doesn't say much for your own forum does it.

I like BMC and I like the posters there for reasons that have nothing to do with what some of them think of this site.

i wasn't "snotty" to anyone. she came and responded to MY post.

And I thought Gigantaur said she was shown the link to the slander on yoru site. surely she can only respind once she is made aware of it.

People are all individuals. I'm sure BMC has its share of cunts, as do we. What we don't want is internecine cunting warfare. Or something.

And I haven't read all the BMC thread, but it's not really worth getting all stoked up over, especially if Gigantaur can defend herself. But I think she's lovely, obviously.

There are good points and bad points about any forum. Each one will also have their "royalty", their "regs" and their own in-jokes.

Each will have better things and worse things but it doesn't mean it is better (or worse).

You find the support where you give the support ime.

I guess it depends on when her attention was drawn to it.
It looks like that had been going on a while before anyone here even knew about it.
Didn't we only find out about it here from the BMC thread here?

oh i LOVE the bmcers, purely because they were brilliant during the swmnbn crisis. handed out blankets and cups of tea and everything. i've noticed that a mrsrichardhammond has been posting here recently, is she the bmc one? she was particularly great iirc.

im fairly sure that she said she hadn't read the thread it linked to. justthat she was namechecked on another site.

and She still has a great many friens on here who are still in contact with her.

your attitudes towards her (the snort and inferrences that she has fabircated who she is) are awful but yes, as BoF has said. She can defend herself clearly.

There's lots of people 'stirring' on here, I don't think penelope is one of them.

I know 'troll-hunting' is not allowed but that policy seems to be making it very easy for 'non-genuine' posters to have fun IMO Hmm
