pebbles, no more than 15posted really.

MamaMaiasaura · 25/07/2009 22:22

I have a gecko and a maclaren quest (bought yesterday ) Got the buggy as felt the need for a easy folding one for going on the ferry and school runs (esp when flat tyre).

Does anyone know if i can get a 'roll bar' for the gecko?

horsemadgal · 26/07/2009 00:17

Is a roll bar a bumper bar Awen?
If so no don't think so. I never minded that about Gecko as never use them.

horsemadgal · 26/07/2009 00:18

Anyone had an ICandy Cherry?

NaccetyMac · 26/07/2009 09:34

Well, I am now the proud owner of a double buggy the size of a small tank! lol. Got an XTS Twister (old style, 3 wheeler.)DS1 fits in it with room to spare.

It's got a bit of a judder, is there anything I can do about it? I have heard of something mystical - bearings or something? Would that help and would replacing them help?

JigglyPiggy · 26/07/2009 10:02

hello everyone.

sad day for me today as have sold my zapp and its being collected. I loved that buggy but I am sticking with the clearout so i can buy some more

never had a cherry but i have been tempted to try one. however a mum at baby group was selling one and im sure she said it was because of the faff of taking it apart to put in the car and then it took up loads of space.

nicola i love the colour of the maclaren you have for sale. I still can't seem to get excited about them though. Maybe I should have a play with one in JL?

JigglyPiggy · 26/07/2009 10:03

oh its going to be one of those days today - i cant even strike things out properly!

nicolamumof3 · 26/07/2009 11:33

maclarens are the best umbrella stroller, so light, so easy, all the covers washable (inc.hood) in the machine.

HMG answered on other board about cherry i had one. v.nice but mine had issues!

3welshcakes · 26/07/2009 12:08

Hi i had the first frog about 5 yrs ago, loved that, then had to sell to make way for the dreaded double buggy. since then i have bought and sold about 4 cam, 3 bee's and 2 frogs. i find ex display one's and use them then sell them on dont really loose much and 9 times out of 10 make money as the stores were closing. Think they r over rated however loved the bee would definatly have another if the seat unit was bigger.

On the very plus exciting news side, my brother has a new girlfriend and she is a rep for bugaboo...how exciting, very sad life i lead and therefore if i want another discount will be great so alot of sucking up to do on my behalf.

She also told me that atm bugaboo are testing a double ??? just hope they hurry in time for me. as i am running out of time fast. x

JigglyPiggy · 26/07/2009 13:09

bugaboo rep! oh my can i be your new best friend?

if you hear any more on the bugaboo double you must post about it not that i have a use for it just yet

I think ive been put off umbrella strollers due to the cheapy mothercare and chicco ones i had with DD. They were hard to push and you had to negotiate entry into the car boot at the correct diagonal angle hence why i got the zapp.

nicolamumof3 · 26/07/2009 13:16

what car do you have? i suppose we are quite spoilt with our galaxy but i've never had a problem fitting them in!

JigglyPiggy · 26/07/2009 13:24

we have a corsa and as much as I would like to trade it in for something that will accomodate my buggies i dont think DH would agree

mustsleep · 26/07/2009 13:29

right can someone talk to me about the Baby jogger city mini please?

It looks great...is it really that easy to fold and is it heavy? Only down point I can see is it looks quite big folded and I would want it for using with public transport

Am selling my Bee and really want to get something I'll be happy with

horsemadgal · 26/07/2009 15:35

mustsleep, Baby Jogger City Mini are fab.
Yes so so easy to fold and carry.
They aren't huge when folded but not as small as say Zapp.
I could do a pic of mine next to Bee folded for comparison if you like.
[email protected] if you do.

claret1980 · 26/07/2009 16:00

I went to our bab y shop in town and saw how quickly they folded. dh said under no circumstances was i getting another pushchair! Maybe if I sold the P&T I might have a chance but not now anyway :-(

thanks horsemadgal jut can't decide!! I need to order something now....listed My bugaboo on ebay for hree days thinking it would at least give me time to order something new and it has sold 10 mins after listing!

I need to make a decision and fast lol

mustsleep · 26/07/2009 16:50

how big would you say it was in relation to a petite star zia? if it's of a similar size I may have found what I'm after!!

5inthebed · 26/07/2009 17:16

Claret, I might be interested in part swap/cash for P&T (unless its pink of course) for BJCM. I'm watching my friends DS from September, and need a double to get out and about.

What would be the best double for two children the same age? They would be 10 months old.

nicolamumof3 · 26/07/2009 17:30

i think a side by side might work best if you are to do alot of walking if the boys sleep in pram? as you can't really use doubles seat and have main seat reclined on p&t if you don't think they will sleep in it. p&t is great for two toddlers. ds2 was 2.5 and ds3 was 13m when i got mine.

5inthebed · 26/07/2009 17:34

So what about a double nipper? Would that be the best option? I'm not buying it, she is, so price isn't too much of a barrier. Definintely want air tyres though.

nicolamumof3 · 26/07/2009 17:48

double nipper will be fab. check for width of doors and getting inside ok, but they are light easy to store and comfortable to push and the boys to ride in.

mustsleep · 26/07/2009 18:13

right I've ordered it anyway lol It'llbe here on Tuesday can't wait!!!

Now where's the best place to buy the accessories from?

claret1980 · 26/07/2009 20:24

5in I'm not selling the P&T yet as ds1 doesn't start his nursery place till January. I still need it for now.

The Zapp will be up for grabs in September.
