Pushchair....Hope you dont mind me asking but just after a bit of info re.breeze....I am in need of something that is easy to fold and light/small enough to be taken on the bus...Sounds easy enough, except I have had every type of umbrella fold possible and hated them all!!! My current 'bus buggy is the bee but not a huge fan of that either!!I have 2 MB Urbans and an elite which I love and have often wondered about the breeze!!! Have never seen one in the flesh though so just wondered if in your opinion it would be any use for bus travel (the ones round here are rubbish and you have to fold the buggies!!!)... Was going to hold out for the mountain buggy swift which seems to be a smaller/lighter urban but now the company is receivership so unsure about the future release (was due out around now!!)...Would be grateful for any feedback and sorry its so long-winded!!!

321maisie · 27/01/2009 15:44

Sorry it appeared twice!!!!Dont know what I did wrong!!!

pushchair · 27/01/2009 15:46

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 17:33

Hi Diva we've not met, am a fellow buggyphile!

My Vit came at 4pm from Babyvalue - it is indeed brand new and in original box, and as you can see here at Mothercare they retail for £100 or so and I got it for £30!!

Anyway had to get it out quickly for a test run before my baby went home, was very easy to assemble, just clicking the back wheels on and getting the hood up - I didn't realise it has a handy Maclaren-esque pocket on the bag which I am going to LOVE!
It was black after all, so going to give my cowprint cosy-lou a go on it and see if it looks ok or not ( and will go lovely with MrsM's cowbag! thx for letting me know posted ) and if not I'll be after you lot with black footmuffs to sell

Took it up the road to the corner shop and omfg marmite or what?

I LURVE IT!!!

It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooo light and easy to steer with one hand and can even get it up kerbs one handedly, going to be very useful feature for me when I have other CM kids with me. I can hang my shopping bag over the handle too which I didn't expect to be able to do that. Baby was really comfy, it's a lovely angle of seat, just enough recline to have a kip but easily up enough to satisfy nosy babies. The footrest is really far away from edge of buggy so it's not going to be outgrown quickly either (going to try 2.5yo in it tomorrow)

All in all I can see why every review I read gave this wee buggy 4-5 stars, I just wish it looked less like a shopping/golf trolley

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 17:34

321maisie - Mountain Buggy have gone under??

I think you should get a Bebe Confort Vit ;) btw

lillypie · 27/01/2009 17:36

Oh sal I'm glad you like them

Disenchanted3 · 27/01/2009 17:36

My new(ish!) Techno XT came today, its lurrrrvly!! So much nicer than the old one!

Just have to decide which comfort pack to put on for nursery tomorrow! lol

Also does anyone know if you can buy P&T sport graffiti covers?

I have fallen in love with the apple graffiti buggy but already have the buggy so would ideally just buy the covers!

321maisie · 27/01/2009 17:42

TOMPD....The New Zealand company that makes MB went into receivership and they are trying to sell the business as a going concern!!!Apparently last years sales were down by a quarter and the company has 'significant debts'....This is my reason for having not preordered the swift as no-one has stock at the mo as not launched yet!!! Obviously wont have any impact on the stock already held in this country but Im not too sure about stock that is yet to be imported!!! Had never even heard of a bebe confort vit!!Will go and google!!!

nicolamumof3 · 27/01/2009 17:44

Mary thats fab! im glad you like it, im a huge fan of babyvalue bought from the twice and both been brand spanking new. i also love my zapp that everyone else seems to hate lol!! can we some pics? what a bargain!

Disenchanted, worth checking with practical pushchairs as they do spares for p&t as to if andwhen you will be able to buy them.

glad you like new xt they are lovely! has it got the smooth wheels? as they are really new if it has would be less than a year old.

MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 17:49

Glad to hear you love it TOMP

I love Baby Value - such fab bargains!

Nicola you're not alone in loving the Zapp, my friend loves & thinks I'm mad for not liking it lol! Mind you she's only 5ft 3" so think makes a difference

Disenchanted3 · 27/01/2009 17:52

have emailed out and about, regarding grafitti covers, will try practical pushchairs too! Thanks nicola

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 17:53

Stop drawing me in to the dark side with photos lmao! ummm ok then when I get it all cowprinted up I will but can't put the baby in too as not allowed to do that booo and he's such a cutiepatootie as well!

Maisie - see link in my post above ;)

Disenchanted3 · 27/01/2009 17:54

How much do you think I could get for a Navy P&T sport in really good condition with double seat? (double seat has repairs though)

The whole new pushchair is £340 on PP site, might be better off just buying that!

Maclaren · 27/01/2009 17:55

321maisie I love my Breeze took it on the school run today and then into town it is so light weight and easy to push also its way lighter than an XT! It folds just like an urban but is half the weight and there is a clip on the handle to keep it closed. If you have a MB urban you will know how easy it is to throw it up and put it down! I would happily take it on the bus

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 17:58

Disenchanted - I paid £170 for my P&T from Ebay if that's any help?
