Need bed and mattress, good quality, in white.

Dont want to spend more than £150.00 on both. Cheap I know!

And I need it quite quickly.

Suggestions?
Thanks!

Pavlov
If you want the Ikea bedguard I linked to, I've got one (realised the bed didn't actually need one, what with the side bits ).
I'm in London (SE23), but you're welcome to it for free if you can find some way to get it to you...

pgwithnumber3 · 24/07/2008 10:54

Have you decided Pavlov?!

pgwithnumber3 · 24/07/2008 20:29

What has happened to Pavlov? Has she got lost amongst the candles in Ikea?

PavlovtheCat · 25/07/2008 11:51

Sorry! I am back! I had a stinking headache yesterday, probably got into a tizz with the whole bed thing!!!!

I am here!
I have bought the M&P bed, bought this morning, last day of the sale!!! YEY it was meant to be, clearly! It arrives on Wednesday, which is a bit of a pain, but its the one I like best!

And we have ordered the Mothercare sprung mattress with some fancy stuff, let me get the link for you...that arrives on tuesday.

Happy pg? Now I went for your choice? .

And rat got a look in with the bed guard, to be sorted yet.

And who was the mattress? I know someone had one, but did I pick that one myself???!

Frisby - I just saw your post - that would be great! How about if I sent you money for posting? How much do you think it would cost? Would that be too much hassle?

Did I do good?

Hmmm, not sure if it'd be worth your while, tbh.

It weighs 1.8 kg, and is 112 x 9cm. This page suggests it would cost £4.20 to send it, which isn't much of a saving, really.

Plus I've no idea how I'd pack the damn thing!

PavlovtheCat · 25/07/2008 16:49

LOL! Thats ok .

Either i will get jimmy to get it for me, if she can resist spending a fortune on other things as she walks around, or I might use it as an excuse to pop up to Bristol myself!!!

Thanks for the offer though, appreciate it. And to be honest, if she is able to climb out of a cot without hurting herself, she will probably be fine without one!

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/07/2008 21:23

PavlovtheCat · 25/07/2008 21:40

Pav....my dear...my mother in law is COMING FOR A MONTH on Wed!!!! Just when I had nice plans for Plymouth! DH told me ooh you can't just up and go to Plymouth for a week when she has come all that way (Syria) to see us and DS....trying to work around it so I can go without offending Queen of Sheba....

PavlovtheCat · 25/07/2008 21:46

{shock] a MONTH! omg you poor thing!

My MIL came over from USA and stayed for 5 weeks when I was pg with DD. "twas very hard indeed, and we were in a flat! I would most certainly have escaped for a week if I could.

Can you not say you have an urgent package to deliver to a needy mother, whose child could injure themselves seriousl without your help ?

Jimmy, I am sorry, I didn't see your thread but if you want to rehash it, I will do my best to search the land for you too.

PavlovtheCat · 25/07/2008 22:01

pgwithnumber3 · 25/07/2008 22:24

I suppose so...

pgwithnumber3 · 25/07/2008 22:26

By the way, when your DD grows out of her dwarf size bed next year, let me know and I will buy it off you for DC3! Recycling and all that.

PavlovtheCat · 25/07/2008 22:29

pg rofl! I put her in her cot this evening (after a trip to eye hosp long story!) and thought to myself...i am pleased I got a small bed, she would look lost in a big bed!

She is a small, delicate flower and has the bed to math and enough toys to fill the space a big one would get!

Malory will be swearing at me for wasting my money I am sure!

pgwithnumber3 · 25/07/2008 22:36

So you are saying no then? God you are a right bitchy kitty aren't you? After all I have done for you.

ONLY JOKING!! Don't worry, I wasn't being serious Pavlov, honestly! God, bet you were worried then thinking you had really really upset me then, it's okay, don't sweat, mop your brow, I will just buy me own on ebay.

PussinJimmyChoos · 26/07/2008 11:44

Pg - already have my toddler bed....that I just bought on my own with no help... Time for a name change??? BillyNoMates??

PavlovtheCat · 28/07/2008 20:03

pg I almost beleived you then! But you do know that cats are meant to be bitchy don'tcha!

The mattress is here. DD is heartbroken that she can't sleep on it now. I was half tempted to let her have it like a slum baby, on the floor. But, she does have all her new bedding as she was so upset that she could not have it, or her mattress that I let her, and now she goes to bed with her 'big girl blanket' and tomorrow her 'big girl bed' arrives!!!!

YEY!

OP posts:
pgwithnumber3 · 28/07/2008 22:39

DD1 often puts her mattress on the floor and slums it, she loves doing it every know and then!

You can put the bed up tomorrow dressed in your new Monsoon bargain.

I got a lovely couple of outfits for DD2 in there today, 70% off. Love a bargain! Then went to Habitat, wanted a new table for the kitchen, the one I liked was £570, went to the Habitat outlet in Manchester, they had a slightly marked one (mine will get wrecked with 3 DC anyway) for £195! Productive day all in all!

pgwithnumber3 · 29/07/2008 22:20

So, Pavlov, is DD sleeping in her lovely M&P bed chosen for her by Auntie PG3?
