Pubes on Men. Or Not?

My DH has normally just trimmed a bit but had been wanting to start shaving his pubes for a while. Last year he really went to town and shaved them all off and says it's much more comfortable so has kept it like this since. I'd probably prefer for him to have a bit of hair down there if possible but I don't mind it like it is at all. What do others like for men, pubes or no pubes. Is shaving it all for men common now?

@KangarooKenny - I take it he doesn’t shave his face then? Because that too would make him look like a pre-pubescent boy.

🙄

Men should trim by all means, but pubeless men give me the heave.

ShittyPeasantsFromHampshire · 01/02/2023 21:19

finding out a man had had his pubes lasered off would be a double heave,

Thatshipsailed · 01/02/2023 21:28

I’ve never encountered a hairless man, the thought of it makes me feel a bit ill. but then I have pubes too

FruitPastill · 02/02/2023 07:24

I'm not really bothered on men. One ONS had shaved a couple of days previous and it was stubbly, that was a bit uncomfortable and didn't look good visually (pp said plucked chicken, yes!).
I prefer a trim and neaten the edges on myself but I'm open to others preference. One asked me to go full bush (I did treat that like hair on my head) and one for all off- I liked the novelty but the upkeep was a bit of an effort. I did get an ingrown hair too and it was agony.

Interesting thoughts. I only started trimming last summer, can’t remember what finally prompted me to do it. I only ever trim with an electric shaver so it’s not bare but I much prefer the neatness as does dw.

Being honest, one of the benefits is my perceived increase in length but that’s definitely me. It coincides with starting to use viagra a bit and it’s all helped my confidence.

How anyone can shave is beyond me. Far too much wrinkly skin, too risky to cut and the growback is horrendous! So I'm a yes to hair, definitely.

Uncertain12345 · 08/02/2023 15:37

I usually trim, however have quite thick, wiry hair and so have been a bit perplexed how one shaved one’s balls - given the flappiness of the skin I doubt I’d be able to get a clean cut and end up with a stubbly ballsack, which I can’t imagine would be comfortable for anyone or that aesthetically pleasing to look at! Do men who shave there just have finer and sparser pubic hair? Or do you have to wax instead?

FixTheBone · 08/02/2023 15:49

Another male perspective.

  1. Shaving your own balls is really hard.
  1. It does feel good though
  1. I have a fair bit of belly hair. Where to stop is a problem.

It would honestly remind me of a child and it would be majorly off putting for me.
I wouldn't be able to hack it, especially if it looked like a plucked turkey with the goosebumps.

Judeisnotobscure · 08/02/2023 16:21

@FixTheBone I imagine shaving a partner’s balls would be incredibly erotic, why not try incorporating it into foreplay?

I never really understand this. An adult's genitals do not resemble a child, whether there's hair or not. It makes me feel a bit sick when people say that.

Somewhat, yes but in my view it's just a step too close to looking like a child.
It's just my personal opinion though.

thepatronsaintofbubblewrap · 08/02/2023 19:22

That said, I've never seen a man with his pubes removed.

afinishedkiss · 08/02/2023 19:25

I like a hairy package. DP massacred his pubes a few year back and I couldn’t cope with the plucked chicken look. I do like hairy men in fairness though.

NoDatingForOldMen · 08/02/2023 21:02

Both beards are neatly trimmed here, same trimmer , different heads.

MajorCarolDanvers · 08/02/2023 21:03

We are both as nature intended.

Healthier and natural.

DeoForty · 08/02/2023 21:09

A shaved bush on a man wouldn't be attractive to me.

A trim. Or as god intended, please.

BCBird · 08/02/2023 21:14

I.like some pubes on a man. Not enough to create a feline like fur ball though🙄

ArcticSkewer · 08/02/2023 21:16

Did he shave it off for better online dick pics?

I do prefer shaved now, personally

Twizbe · 08/02/2023 21:18

My husband has alopecia universalis so is perfectly hairless all over lol

BubziOwl · 08/02/2023 21:37

I don't think I could go near my husband's nether regions if they were hairless. It would look naked!! 🤣

All natural is definitely my preference, but if DH decided he wanted to trim it I could live with it. But definitely not bald!!

OnTheBoardwalk · 08/02/2023 21:38

Won’t it get itchy?

VickerishAllsort · 08/02/2023 21:40

I love a hairy bloke - too smooth would make my skin crawl.
If god had meant us to be bare she wouldn't have given us pubes.

HerbalTeaAndCake · 08/02/2023 22:13

What? Why? Ewwww!
