Is bigger really better?

Having a debate with my bf. He thinks all women prefer a man with a bigger penis (What qualifies him to know this I don't know) I personally don't think it matters. What do you all think?

I have only had three partners and I'm nearly 50. I'm currently having the best sex of my entire life. But that's nothing to do with the size of his penis! It's to do with the fact that I love him to bits. I dare say my fanjo isn't the tightest, either, after 3 DC. However, the fact that I like sex with him seems to be enough to keep DP happy.

Let's face it, as long as you're not abnormally small or huge (which is a tiny percentage of the population), it's all much of a muchness. And I can't say I've ever whipped out a tape measure.

I don't buy it when every guy on Tinder says he's packing 8" or when someone says they'll only sleep with guys that big. It's too far above average and is a tiny percentage of the population, statistically. In reality most are probably more towards 6-7" which is slightly larger than the average.

It's all about what they can do with it! Between 5 and 8 inches is the ideal. Anything bigger has hurt me. I split up with a guy once because he was too big!

Not really for every woman. I have a very short vagina and this sometimes causes pain with DP who is quite large (certain positions are out). I found it more comfortable with an average size.

Only 5% of men have a penis over 6.3". Now extrapolate that bell curve and imagine how small the number of men with a 7" or 8" penis is. Look at that percentile chart in the first link. An 8" penis (or 20cm) is also less than 1% of the population. As is 7" at 17.5cm.

I strongly suspect lots of men and women overestimate penis size. 8" is bloody massive and rare. If you've only slept with men with 8" penii (?) then you either need to stop believing everything they say or buy a lottery ticket.

I would have said bigger is better...until my last partner. On the smaller side penis wise but the best sex I've ever, ever had. Panting, sweaty, hot, tear-each-others-clothes-off passionate intense sex. God it was good. He got into my head as much as my knickers and bloody hell it was hard to walk away from a connection like that.

I wonder whether it doesn't matter a jot about penis size, you just click with whoever you click with- but for some of us have never clicked with someone on the smaller side yet.

My first proper boyfriend was small. But I didn't have much to compare him to, sex was a bit rubbish but he uses to finish really quickly.

Exh was bigger. Sex wasn't great either better than my first but again there wasn't much to compare to and exh was an abusive arse anyway.

Sex with Dp is incredible. Yes he is bigger. Quite big in fact. But I don't think it's that. He genuinely cares that sex feels good for me. Which is a first.

@LaughingCow99 it's from a study of over 15,000 men by reputable medical bodies - why on earth do you think it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt? Do you have a more thorough study?

What's more doubtful is that anyone's slept with a guy who has an 8" penis as it's vanishingly rare. If you've slept with more than one, even rarer. 6" is actually pretty long if you look at a ruler - the odds are that people are sleeping with guys who are just above average and who are overestimating the size.

I very much doubt 8 inch erect is rare. Given I know 2 men, whose partner have measured their and they are significantly over 8 inch.

It really is that rare. That's not to say they don't exist, but when people claim they've slept with multiple 8" guys it either suggests they're a) shockingly fortunate in their choice of partner or b) they're overestimating the size. It's easy to do - if you told me a piece of string was 8" I probably couldn't tell if it was really 6" or not without a ruler.

I can't say I have split with more than one person over 8 inch. I was one of the people that measured their partners. Dp is definitely over 8 inch. He actually feels very insecure about it and I measured it while slightly tipsey to try and make him believe it's big, not average or below average. He has a very difficult upbringing from a bullying father, who amongst other things amused to tell him women would laugh at his dick. Yep, lovely fella his dad was. The other is my best friend and her husband. My best friend who have no issues telling me if her dh was average, she tells me far more than she should. He is over 8 inch as well.

It's just odd that, I would know 2 men over 8 inch when it's quite rare.

I do think it's a bad sign though that so many women (and men too of course) seem to think that 5.5" is too small and no good, when in reality it's above average. I think we have a skewed perception of what penis size should be, just as we have s skewed idea of what women's bodies should be.
