SW London Private and Grammar Schools Waiting Lists (Y7 2023 entry)

Following the private and grammar school exam threads, I am starting this one for those with waiting list places. May be helpful to hear if and when waiting lists begin to move.

We had some offers and some WL places. We have released the offers we are not taking and waiting for a place on the Reeds WL.

Hoping for movement after offer holder days (next week), national schools offer day (1st March) and offer acceptance dates (circa 9/10th March).

SPGS acceptance deadline is tomorrow, 2 March at 9AM! So not much time for us Londoners whose state offers do not arrive until later today.

FWIW, we just accepted the SPGS offer and will be shortly releasing offers from NLCS, St. Helen's, RMS, and a WL spot on G&L.

Cant comment on SPGS best of luck for those waiting on that.

We have had an offer today! Was expecting nothing would happen until after Tiffin offers are out this evening, at the earliest.
So fingers crossed there is some movement now

We don't have a state space yet (and probably won't hear until 5PM?), however, we have decided on SPGS so moving ahead.

I have been a longtime lurker through the months of 11+ agony. Thank you to this group for their sense of community, support and honesty.

This morning we won the school “lottery” when our 1st choice school (KGS) moved us from WL to firm offer. We have completed all paperwork tonight and released the other offers we had received (Kneller hall, SWPS and CFC). I hope anyone on WL for these schools gets the same benefit we have had from people releasing KGS offers.

Wishing all our DC’s the best for Year 7 onwards

Thanks all for the congrats, it was well timed for us as DS is dead set against the state school we knew we would be offered. Such a relief all the work was worth it.
Ours was also KGS which is our perfect school for DS.

Congratulations. I have a DC in Y9 and it is an excellent school. Wishing everyone else good luck with WLs.

Be very careful of holding places too long! Several of my class
Have been liable for the full terms fees last year. The schools are toughening up on this practice it seems and have not backed down even with special circumstances!

We are waiting for Emanuel, Whitgift and Caterham who all have 12 noon acceptance deadline today.

Those on WL - did you get an email or a call offering a place?

KGS called, they were specific in their reserve list letter that they would call and then email if they can’t get through

I assume you are only liable if you accepted an offer and paid a deposit, otherwise your offer would just expire at the deadline and be given to someone else.

We released all our offers btw, just commenting on this.
