Big congrats to your DD Kez.

BringBack1996 · 07/08/2012 22:57

Well done to your DD, Kez! DS is doing alright at the moment but I think the distraction of the Olympics has a lot to do with that. The worst thing though is that he keeps running through papers from his memory of two months ago! Not great as all he remembers is the questions he got wrong. Whatever grades he achieves, I just can't wait until all of this is over!

bruffin · 08/08/2012 09:33

Congrats Kez100 ddGrin

DS hasn't mentioned results much. He has disappeared off to cub camp to help out, thought it was one night but i think he is planning to stay for a week.

glaurung · 09/08/2012 11:10

Congrats to Kez dd - may it be the first of many Grin.

Dd has gone to Edinburgh to the fringe and to au pair for a friend, so should be suitably distracted from the angst of waiting.

Only 2 weeks to go!

bruffin · 09/08/2012 11:28

Kez has your dd joined ephotozine DCs and DH have put some photos on there and especially on the junior gallery they are very welcoming and helpful.

Kez100 · 09/08/2012 18:11

Thanks Bruffin.

Well done Kez's DD! Mine is interested in photography too, so we'll have a look there too, bruffin.
SHe is at her Dad's until tomorrow, then has a party next TUesday with those who went to South Africa. Friends visiting next weekend, then an old friend of mine, then we are there.

cardibach · 15/08/2012 19:46

Week tomorrow!

Kez100 · 15/08/2012 22:02

This is getting scary now. Especially as my friend saw her sons A level grade boundries today (his actual results are tomorrow) and they are really, really tough. It's something I've been really concerned about happening and now I'm even worse!

Ds's girlfriend gets her results tomorrow, he is going with her for support. He wants me take him to see the Damien Hirst exhibit.
He gets results on Dh birthday and plans are get results, then go for a full English somewhere and hopefully celebrate birthday somewhere not too far as we go on holiday ne,t day.

SecretSquirrels · 16/08/2012 19:30

Just spotted this thread back. Well done to your DD Kez.
DS says his friends are all worried, he doesn't seem bothered. He doesn't know yet whether they are all going in together or not to collect the results.

cardibach · 16/08/2012 20:46

DD very stressed now. Me too, but trying to appear calm! A Levels at her school (where I teach, hence insider knowledge) were very good, especially at the higher grades, so fingers crossed.

bruffin · 16/08/2012 21:05

Ds gf got all As for AS today, and Ds school got its best results yet.

stressydad · 17/08/2012 10:40

Thinking of lining up a tutor for next year- I have seen some great links on youtube, does anyone know how I can book them?

May I start a new thread? This one is bound to go over 110 posts between now and Thursday and loading it, on my computer anyway Grin, is taking forever!

I'll do it now!
