My erudite view is that I really just wish they’d fuck off with this referendum bollocks just now.

people just want a bit of peace, and fun, ffs.

Absolutely would a bit of fun, some sunshine, some bloody waiting lists cleared, that'll do for a while. Because let's face it, do we believe we'll avoid a covid or some other virus autumn/winter panic? My confidence is low in that.

I can't see they're that worried about the ref legal advice, probably just a case of consulting internally on the best spin to put on it taking time.

Scottishskifun · 03/05/2022 19:17

God I really don't want another sodding referendum I still haven't got over some of the abuse from last time! Bizarrely it generally wasn't young people either mostly the 50 plus age!

I just want some peace not more division!

Hear hear @Scottishskifun . I cannot beat the thought of another one. The scars are still so deep from the last one. The country needs to heal...

Has anyone got a clue where ds could get antibiotics for ringworm?? Cant get a gp appointment and hes going on holiday soon and it really needs clearing up, the cream given by pharmacist didnt work.

Do gps do private appointments? I haven't a clue.

Oh ffs

mapleleavesreturn · 03/05/2022 21:27

@ssd does pharmacist have any other options? Can you phone 111 and get another dr if gp away? Sounds rubbish.

ssd · 03/05/2022 21:37

The gp isnt away, but there just arent appointments for ages

ssd · 03/05/2022 21:45

Mn is sooo buggered for me, this thread isnt showing at all on active convos or threads im on and its saying i have error 500 when trying to post, then duplicating them

Railing about mumsnet now Grin

mapleleavesreturn · 03/05/2022 21:46

Sounds like it's causing considerable discomfort - does your gp not have emergency appointments?

Justtoshare · 03/05/2022 22:02

You could try an online GP like Babylon?

Justtoshare · 03/05/2022 22:04

Having said that 'in the olden days', a GP knowing you were off on holiday would 'fit you in'. I believe it falls under time critical care lol.

WouldBeGood · 03/05/2022 22:10

Did you want to know about ringworm @ssd? 🤣

A colleague at work recommended Push Doctor for a similar problem. I know it’s wrong to have to pay, but might be worth it?

hope you’re doing ok

I'm not enjoying the site updates either.

Railing about the school being used as a polling station. As if they've not lost enough school time.

Not a clue who I'm voting for either. Must get my shit together.

WouldBeGood · 04/05/2022 07:49

I heard from my Labour candidate that she does not support the proposals in the GRA so that’s good.

OP posts:
Dinoteeth · 04/05/2022 08:01

@titsintiers I'll give our council some credit, they've made voting day an in-service day. Something they changed a couple of years ago. I'm sure a few years ago they had the in-service day on the Tuesday. Leaving a really odd week of
Off Monday holiday, Tuesday in-service, voting Thursday, in school Wednesday and Friday.

CoralPaperweight · 04/05/2022 11:48

@ssd I don't think antibiotics will work for ringworm as it's a fungal infection. What cream did the pharmacy give you for it? Fungal infections can be tricky ... have lots of experience because of DS and his 'never seen anything like this before' rash. We had to try lots of different creams before we found one that worked (Daktacort) but had to apply for a lot longer than initially prescribed and then change to a different cream without hydrocortisone. Took bloody ages to get rid of it as well as kept coming back too.

Scottishskifun · 05/05/2022 12:47

Well I went to vote! Went with choice based on how good that counsellor had been with my local issues actually best one for my area was lib dem. Left the majority of the others blank

RaraRachael · 05/05/2022 14:35

I'm so annoyed that we don't have an election in our area. This time, more than any other, I wanted to show my vehement hatred of the SNP.

#thwarted

WouldBeGood · 05/05/2022 14:43

That is annoying @RaraRachael !

I’ve voted. 💪💪

No council election @RaraRachael? I thought the were Scotland wide.

I am similarly frustrated @RaraRachael
