@Bytheloch I’m imagining a leather clad heist like in Entrapment:

Dinnafashyersel · 14/01/2021 11:23

Dundee was part of the drug trial for Oxford vaccine so I assume that is why their numbers are high.

latortugafeliz · 14/01/2021 11:26

Does anyone know when the latest raft of restrictions (takeaway, click and collect etc) will be reviewed/potentially eased? That piece of information doesn't seem very easy to find although maybe I'm not looking hard enough...

Fife has all care home residents vaccinated

Dinnafashyersel · 14/01/2021 11:40

Iirc SG (either Jeanne or Nicola) announced 80% of all care home residents in Scotland as a whole already vaccinated by end of last week. Makes up about 35,000 so relatively small numbers in population context but since residents are in and out of hospital a lot and NHS beds capacity is around 15,000 this alone should make a big difference.

My suspicion is that the logistics of transferring newly vaccinated care home residents in and out of hospital may be contributing to the increasing NHS bed usage.

We were very excited to see the snow but it is very wet and slippy here and melting too fast for a snowman. Home Eccie making pancakes in the kitchen this morning - no breakages and no burnt children so all in all a success (DH already got a pout on cos they are not quite up to my usual standards - he is angling for daily practice with him as chief quality controller).

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 14/01/2021 11:53

I can't wait for all of the vaccinations to start bringing down cases and hospitalisations in good numbers.

Dinnafashyersel · 14/01/2021 11:54

This is an illustration of the logistical problem with care homes newly vaccinated atm. Also high risk for SG given media focus.

Smoke and mirrors at play. Distraction through vaccine chat headlines, away from some of the further evidence regarding that trial...taxpayers money being squandered on some coaching for witnesses, for example. Sigh, just more political grottiness not exclusive to the English tories.

But just like the FMs daily broadcast, I should stick to topic, so anyway, back to vaccines...

Groovee · 14/01/2021 13:38

Does anyone remember dh being ill at Christmas? After keeping me up most of the night, he's come home from work yellow! He's got a dr appointment.

Honestly I'm 🤯🤯🤯 today 😭

titsbumfannythelot · 14/01/2021 13:44

Oh dear @Groovee I hope he's better soon

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/01/2021 13:58

Oh my @groovee, hope all is well. When is his appointment? To be fair I've found a good service for when we've had to access NHS services in a rush so I hope you do too. I have DH at home with a massively swollen face and in agony after his dental work. He ended up phoning 111 at 4am. Got an emergency appointment at dentist and now on co-codamol and antibiotics. I'm sure he'll be right as rain in a couple of days though.

WouldBeGood · 14/01/2021 13:58

Oh no, @Groovee! Didn’t you suspect gallbladder? Could be that

StatisticallyChallenged · 14/01/2021 14:09

Gallstones can cause jaundice

Groovee · 14/01/2021 14:56

He's had bloods done and an examination he was sore around the liver, gall bladder area. Urine was very dark so sample sent off. I've made him call in sick. First time ever that he's called in sick.

My head is 🤯🤯

I hope he gets sorted quickly - it does sound like bloody gallstones which is absolute agony.
WaxOnFeckOff · 14/01/2021 15:03

Fingers crossed that they find out what's going on quickly @groovee and get the poor man some relief!

StatisticallyChallenged · 14/01/2021 15:08

Gallstone pain is horrendous. I had mine out a couple of years ago - the dark urine can be a symptom too.

I actually still get symptoms and attacks, and something which really helps me manage the pain is TENS. If you can pick one up it might be worth a shot.

ladylunchalot · 14/01/2021 16:09

Gallstone pain is awful, really hope he's OK.

Had the interview earlier and it went pretty well. Was asked 7 questions, wasn't expecting that many but had prepared answers so it was OK. Should hear within a week but might be up to 2 weeks. Start date is either w/c 25th Jan or 1st Feb.

Will now be impatiently checking my emails Smile

Groovee · 14/01/2021 16:12

I had my gall bladder out 10 years ago. This is why I've been at him to be seen. My in laws have always been "oh do you need to see a dr?" So that's probably why I've struggled with him being adamant he doesn't need a dr.

The start of my dad in November which is 8 weeks ago was jaundice so I think this has tipped me over the edge.

Leonard's quit!!!

Jackie for Labour Leader?

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 14/01/2021 16:53

Leonard was such a waste of time. The amount of days he asked a question at FMQs and had to be told it wasn't a devolved matter, or some other basic error.

I've got no idea who is in the LP these days to replace him, but they won't be an independence supporter so very little will shift in the political landscape.

rookiemere · 14/01/2021 17:01

Some good news my octogenarian parents in Perth are getting their first vaccine on Monday.

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 14/01/2021 17:14

Anas Sarwar could be a contender but is he as good at challenging NS as Ruth Davidson is?

Rae36 · 14/01/2021 17:19

Leonard? Who? As a lapsed member of the Labour Party I can honestly say he has made no impression on me at all. And I can't think of a single person to replace him. What a mess.

And hooray for the over-80s in Perth getting the vaccine. It makes me happy to hear these stories.
