@Iwillneverbesatisfied oh well done ! Am clutching on to any good news I can get. Talked to old NI friend today and his DM has received her first vaccine shot in her nursing home, so that's good too.

@Iwillneverbesatisfied

I got through to the next round - just got the email! I've to do a written task and email it back by start of January. Its a bit of a tough task so need to devote all my time to researching it etc. But still.....yay!
Yay. Feel free to ask us nosey buggers for advice at any time

Iwillneverbesatisfied congratulations! That’s brilliant (& I am definitely not welling up HmmGrin)

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 23/12/2020 22:06

aw thank you. I think I need a career coach to help me with some of the questions. I don't want to post them here as it would maybe out me to anyone associated with the company. I have an idea of how to answer the questions but obviously I want to excel!!

Coquohvan · 23/12/2020 22:15

@Iwillneverbesatisfied go you! Love the user name btw. Never every be satisfied aim high, we ask our children to do that.
Let’s know how the next round goes.

MissEliza · 23/12/2020 22:17
@NotAnActualSheep can you try try chopping them up and stir frying then with bacon and chestnuts? My DH did that one year, and I was a convert
This is how I managed to get my family to eat sprouts but it really annoys me that they turned a healthy thing into something not so healthy.

Oh, brilliant! Congratulations Xmas SmileStar. Some happy news to start Christmas with.
Bytheloch · 23/12/2020 23:01

Love a bit of seasonal sprout chat. I really love them too, but as a child my aunt once did a sprout quiche for a Christmas family buffetXmas Hmm I gave it a try, wasn’t a fussy eater, but I remember it all these years later.
Sprouts, egg, cheese pastry- what could possibly go wrong?!!

runningpink · 24/12/2020 05:55

Well done @Iwillneverbesatisfied! And good luck! Nice to have some good news for a change.

tinseltitsbumfannythelot · 24/12/2020 05:55

Welcome to the most magical day of the year according to dd.

I celebrated so far by falling in the kerb whist putting the bins out! Fitting for 2020. Not hurt just glad it was dark enough that hopefully no one saw.

Dinnafashyersel · 24/12/2020 07:41

Congratulations Iwillneverbesatisfied Star You're bringing me out in a cold sweat just contemplating how much work goes into the job application process these days though.

I love sprouts but I'm not sure even I would eat sprout quiche. Weirdly enough DD3 probably would but she was not so enthusiastic about my herb roasted tatties last night.

Morning Anon. Just heard our bin lorry outside. I am usually the one they are laughing at when I dash out at the last minute in my jammies. Recently delegated putting the bins out to my DD2 as part of her rent agreement. Turns out I am much better at remembering to nag her than I am at actually doing the job myself.

Apparently it should be the clearest night for seeing Jupiter/Saturn today although they won't be quite as close as earlier in the week.

Dinnafashyersel · 24/12/2020 07:46

Wee bit of uplifting news. Our local nursing home residents started getting their vaccines this week. So fingers crossed relative visits should be more normal again soon.

tinseltitsbumfannythelot · 24/12/2020 07:50

That is good news.

Great to hear the nursing homes are starting vaccination, that's good news.

Thanks for the Jupiter and Saturn news - I've been out twice this week to try and see it but too cloudy both times so definitely time for attempt 3 tonight!

If anyone is having doubts about the Party, I see you can be educated in the SNP college

Hopefully that college will be closed until well after the 18th January

Is that for real WouldbeGood ?

WouldBeGood · 24/12/2020 08:32

Yes, honestly.

I stumbled across it on Twitter, thought it couldn’t be true so I googled, and it is!

It’s already online, so luckily will be able to stay open 😃

WouldBeGood · 24/12/2020 08:34

Is this where some of the missing money has been spent?

Is that a desk plant to the left? Or your own Swinneybot dancing desk figure you get free on college sign up?

Takeaway coffee cup? So it assumes you’re on a campus- well, there’s still hope.

ikswobel · 24/12/2020 08:55

Well if you would rather use some online tools from Scottish Labour you can get a Doorstep App - what is that?
scottishlabour.org.uk/members/get-involved/online-tools/

Or you could try the Conservatives. Sadly when you try to go to their policy forum page it's "not found"

Maybe this is the online blended learning the kids are doing from the 11th? 🤔
WouldBeGood · 24/12/2020 09:02

@Bytheloch 😂
