Morning all.

The only reason I stay on Facebook (which is an awful, data stealing disaster of a company) is to follow dog breeding distant acquaintances who regularly post dog and puppy photos and videos.

The govt needs to regulate them because you effectively end up hostage to your network being on there, so many groups etc.

blowinahoolie · 01/01/2021 14:31

Hopefully this works...

Total gorgeousness in puppy form

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/01/2021 14:52

Aww, so cute, I need a puppy now :(

Dcat says "no!"

Plus both still working albeit i'm at home now but I guess no guarantee that i won't be back in the office full time a some point.

DH wants a Russian Terrier - we'd need an extension to house one of those.

rookiemere · 01/01/2021 15:05

Oh wow just googled a Russian Terrier, they make rookiedog look small and he's really, really not.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/01/2021 15:09

DH used to pick up a patient with one and good a bit hooked. I've only ever had collie/collie crosses so a bit new to me. Best dog we had was a bearded collie, very clever but he was also a bit of a gobshite. DH had a lot of lurchers.

WouldBeGood · 01/01/2021 15:14

@blowinahoolie just gorgeous 😍

anon444877 · 01/01/2021 15:16

I like the look of the Russian terrier too - looks like they would keep you active too!

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/01/2021 15:25

DH likes hillwalking and the great outdoors so he would want something capable of joining him. I'm sure we'll get something once one of us retires but a dog is tying in a way that a cat isn't and even children grow up.

blowinahoolie · 01/01/2021 15:30

Thanks folks, can't stop thinking about bher. Counting down the sleeps until next week. We were busy ordering bits and bobs last night.

The breeder hasn't advertised the puppies anywhere, I just found out a while ago from another breeder as her own bitch didn't take. All down to luck. DH also wants a Lab but I said one puppy at a time, see how we get on with one first😂

blowinahoolie · 01/01/2021 15:32

Russian terriers look beautiful, just googled. Nice choice when the time is right Wax.

DCat with her Christmas gift. New wool rug for the old sofa she likes sleeping on.

I have just discovered that car shares are allowed. I didn't think they were; or maybe there weren't before; or perhaps they heve never been not allowed. I just can't keep track of these things.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/01/2021 16:48

Beautiful @StatisticallyChallenged. Arkadia, cat shares are definitely allowed, no idea on car shares, thought they weren't or are if no other options with masks, windows open and passenger in the back but passenger side? I don't know, I've lost track.

HigherHeaven · 01/01/2021 16:51

Happy New Year! Had a great night of dancing in the living room. Stayed up till past 5 so haven’t seen much of today proper. But steak pie is in the oven and I’ll rally the household who are all in various states of slumber and hangover (just Mum and Dad not the teens I hasten to add!)

Thanks for the good wishes for my forthcoming online interview. Need to to get my brain into gear and swot up on the role. It’s just an admin job but for a sector I’ve never worked in before.

Loving all the puppy talk - I don’t think our cat would approve of a dog in the house but I could do with a pet that requires me to go on long walks every day.

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/01/2021 16:54

I'd love a dog, can't really risk it until we know if wfh is a long term thing. If think because of the cats we'd probably be looking at a soppy pup, golden retriever or similar.

runningpink · 01/01/2021 16:58

I would also love a wee doggie but just not feasible with work at the moment.
I am a doggie ‘Auntie’ to a few of my friends dogs so I do have regular stealing opportunities!

I think the car share is if you really have too. But your meant to wear masks, drove with windows down, sit in back etc.

anon444877 · 01/01/2021 17:04

My retriever pup came home, and my eldest cat smacked him smartly round the nose on sight, he bowed down to a superior being and adored her for years.

I'm loving all these dog and cat photos, definitely suffering a puppy itch.

Dogs are a lot of work though, definitely a big commitment although fantastic for health.

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/01/2021 17:17

DH grew up with retrievers, the last one was a love. Had to ask mil to watch one of our kittens for a day. Came back to this teeny kitten sprawled across the dog bed and the big dog cowering in the corner.

anon444877 · 01/01/2021 17:26

That's hilarious - that sounds about right, bossed about by a kitten!

fluffyugg · 01/01/2021 18:01

@blowinahoolie what a gorgeous pup!
