Me!

Oh dear God please let it be soon. Bring on an independent Scotland, where we make our own decisions, collect and spend and borrow and invest our own money, look after our people, get the governments we vote for, speak for ourselves in the wider world, broadcast what we want to watch, and where all our political parties are based in and concerned with Scotland.

Yes 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

CayrolBaaaskin · 21/10/2020 23:43

Wacadu · 21/10/2020 23:49

Definite yes!

sushinelove · 21/10/2020 23:49

In a heartbeat, the sooner the better

ThanksMateThanksMate · 21/10/2020 23:57

I think it's absolutely fine to be pro or against but it's horrible that folk can be so mean-spirited about the opposing views.
(@throwingawaymyshot ?)

I love being Scottish and I would just like to see the country thrive on its own and be responsible for its own successes and failings.

I don't see the need for the hatred.

Onetwothree456 · 22/10/2020 00:01

Yes. I love Scotland but splitting will hopefully save us some cash in England.

BluebellSusan · 22/10/2020 00:02

No

Spongeface · 22/10/2020 00:05

Aye!

Keepmeawayfromthebuffet · 22/10/2020 00:08

SBTLove · 22/10/2020 00:18

@Onetwothree456
Oh dear, you are very misinformed, we give YOU the ££ and only get a portion back. Why do you think WM are clinging on??

LadyMcLadyface · 22/10/2020 00:21

Cantdoitallperfectly · 22/10/2020 00:22

I wouldn't get a vote (born in England) but my Dad was Scottish. I fully support Scotlands bid for independence.

According to the original white paper I would be able to claim Scottish citizenship if indepence was acheived, because of Dad being a Scot. I hope that would still be an option as I would claim it.

Tamingofthehamster · 22/10/2020 00:33

How will the border work? It’s not all that easy, is it. (And I’m a no, so I will also leave the thread)

chrislilleyswig · 22/10/2020 00:42

@grumplass

DumplingsAndStew · 22/10/2020 00:54

Yes then, yes now 👍

Torvean32 · 22/10/2020 01:11

How many of you live in the Central belt?

ThanksMateThanksMate · 22/10/2020 01:25

@Torvean32
I'm in the central belt. I'm battening down the hatches as per the guidelines.
It's not ideal. My DUncle died of Covid. I have close friends and family who are suffering financially.
I'm a yes.

tava63 · 22/10/2020 01:51

Yes, but like 2014 I would do so with a heavy heart.

Scotslassie1 · 22/10/2020 06:45

ThatDamnScientist - Doesn't matter where you were born. If you live in Scotland you're entitled to a vote.
