Edinburgh meet up?

On a couple of other threads it seems like a few of us have recently moved to Edinburgh and fancied a meet up. Some longstanding Edinburghers also said they would be up for a pint/wine/dram/coffee and cake to say hi.

I said I would be happy to organise it when I got here if no one else wanted to and well, I am here! The bags are (sort of) unpacked, DS has started school, and my new job at uni starts soon.

Hi everyone - I'm not sure who might be free, but Badger & Co are hosting a Macmillan cancer coffee morning next Friday from 9-11.30am There will be a chance to get your hair and nails 'did' and lets face it - who doesn't like some cake?!

Only just seen this, count me in as long as husband is back in time, very excited

Thanks to everyone who came tonight - I had a really fun night. Much wine was quaffed and I learned what biometric informatics is, why I really need to trim the wicks on my candles, what box sets to watch next, what an actuary actually does and that I really, really want a Maine Coon cat - or maybe two. Let's do another one soon? Does someone want to organise a day time meet - maybe on a weekend so everyone can come? Good luck to the two MNetters with job interviews tomorrow x

I'm not in Edinburgh yet but we're moving up in December.

Why don't we try to pencil in something pre Christmas but well in advance so folk have plenty of notice?
