Edinburgh meet up?

On a couple of other threads it seems like a few of us have recently moved to Edinburgh and fancied a meet up. Some longstanding Edinburghers also said they would be up for a pint/wine/dram/coffee and cake to say hi.

I said I would be happy to organise it when I got here if no one else wanted to and well, I am here! The bags are (sort of) unpacked, DS has started school, and my new job at uni starts soon.

Please post if you want to come for a meet!

The Huxley (top of Princes Street, the Haymarket end) does bottles of prosecco for £20 (I'm yet to find it cheaper else where) and good cocktails. And should be fairly quiet on a Thursday.

The 22nd works for me, but I have a 5pm event in Glasgow first, so I can be there about 8.30pm too :)

I think I'd try to get somewhere as if we choose a bar and it's heaving it might be tricky to actually find each other

For any future meet ups, I'd be up for this! Still on maternity leave so day times with baby would be possible for me, or back to work in November and could maybe do an evening then!

Alright women, we are on! I have made a booking at the Huxley for anything between 10-20 people from 7pm onwards this Thursday (22 September). The table will have a sign on it saying Mumsnet Edinburgh Meet Up and the staff at the door will be able to direct you if you can't see a large gaggle of Mumsnetters demolishing prosecco. Look forward to meeting you all!

Can folks please post to let me know you have seen the time and venue and will be there? Its gone a bit quiet and I would be embarrassed to book a big table only to sit at it on my own!
