What is it with men?

Story is matched with this man, we arranged a date which became quite short because of time constraints, I was flying out the next day. There was a lot of mutual flirting and attraction and we ended up in bed not long after.

Unfortunately, he suffered a bit of ED so nothing penetrative happened. He then got quite embarrassed and before I fully realised what was happening he was dressing and left shortly after, saying this was obviously a one time thing, meanwhile I'm starkers laying in bed below him.

I text him shortly after he left when I was still thinking things through. He didn't reply all day yesterday, today I get this pretty awful message, and I just feel disgusted.

Was this him making light of the situation or does he genuinely see me as only good for pleasuring him.

What is it with men?

Lucky escape! Who sends messages like that?!?

Wildgoat · 14/10/2026 13:39

He thinks you’re just easy sex and uo for this, likely as it does appear you didn’t just have sex on a first date but pretty soon after first meeting him, his response is crude, but he thinks that’s just what this is,

My favourite reply to any insult these days is ‘get well soon’ and I really like it.

🤣🤣🤣

What @freshofdablock i think is trying to convey is that sex is what men want without any effort or "coffee dates" so because you offered sex previously he thinks that's it, he doesn't need to put in any more effort to 'warm you up for it' and can ask for it.

Whether we like it or not, the fact is men like getting fun on tap without putting much effort in. However, if you hold off sex for example for a year and get to know a guy first, chance is he will have gotten to know you as well and doesn't just want sex on tap, but also your company, dates, time together etc.

I don't know anyone, male or female, that would hang around for a YEAR if their Partner wasn't willing to have sex.

Its a recent feminist book looking at radicalisation of women. How/why women choose to support the Andrew Tates of the world.

Aka how you recruit handmaids of the Patriarchy…

Looks like a good read. I've always wondered how women can support something so damaging to us.

Really?
I know plenty who have done.

I think you maybe misunderstood, the poster was replying to a posted who suggested waiting a year to have sex for the first time,

I also don’t know anyone who would do this, other than deeply religious, so maybe that’s what you mean, but generally mature adults don’t wait a year into a new relationship to have sex.

Wildgoat · 14/10/2026 15:20

I don’t know how long the first meeting was, the op says not long, so it does appear she’s met this man for rhe first time and proceeded to have sex with him within an hour or more,

which is absolutely fine as consenting adults, but many men will judge a woman for doing the exact same thing they are doing, as bizzare as that sounds,

his response of skip the normal stuff just move to oral, says he now sees this as just sex and doesn’t wish more,

the op would have been better getting to know him before having sex , even a couple of dates, to see if he was rhe kind of man who acted like that, as it would have avoided her getting hurt,

It was decent. Not the best, as in a few factual errors- e.g. the invention of the internet as by the military and having male aggression baked in. Total poppycock. I guess showing the author is not wholly immune to propaganda (who is these days?).

Mostly a summary of US & UK radicalisation of women from 2000 to today. Stuff I had not seen were the comments by women after they had left the red pill, male superiority/white nationalist groups. Their light bulb moments when they realised how they were fighting to oppress women.

I got it as a gift so no complaints.

I certainly would if the person was good to be around, a genuinely nice kind person. It’s not all about sex for me. Surely if that’s what you want you can get that anywhere, anytime 🤷‍♀️

Yes I did misunderstand, sorry :)
Was thinking of people already in long term relationships.

All this ‘ED’ recently is amazing! How old are these guys?

Porn has left many of them sexually impotent.

When you've been jacking off to 'midgets in a suitcase' and 'cum guzzling dumpster whore' for years then it becomes impossible to enjoy a normal sex life with an actual woman.

Unless you stick in in your ass while spinning and singing, they can barely muster enough interest for a half hearted finger.

Thankfully, there are enough men who have avoided this (I assume by sleeping with and learning to please actual human beings) to satisfy us!

blythet · 14/10/2026 21:14

You had sex with a stranger after meeting him for the first time for a coffee and are now surprised that’s he’s only interested in sex?? 🤦🏽‍♀️

in on line dating,I genuinly think a lot of women feel that if they have sex, it seals the deal and they are then entitled to a relationship.

And men have a very different view, either they are the sort of men no other woman wants to shag, and they do indeed form a relationship as they can’t get it elsewhere or they see you as an easy lay who will shag every bloke they meet and will continue to shag you as long as it suits them and wouldn’t consider a relationship with you, whilst looking cor someone they do wish a relationship with,

consensual sex is fine as long as both parties are on the same page, but it’s very hard to confirm that if it’s a stranger,

Yes, if my partner wasn't willing to have sex I would probably not hang around either.

I mean, before you get to the partner stage and I said a year as an example just to demonstrate the point.
