Partner insists that he should ensure his 16 yr old son sees his XW parents, as XW isn't bothered about making it happen.

He doesn't want DS missing out on seeing his GP.

I think 16 yr old DS needs to see his mum for who she is. I think his mum needs to arrange this. Not DP.

DP doesn't want his DS missing out on grandparent time, as he sees it as beneficial.

I hate that DP is still resolving his XW issues of her own causing..

How do i help him see he's being a pawn to XW?

The main aim is that his son sees his grandparent- end of.

He’s doing it for his son not his ex.

I arrange for my kids to see my late DH’s step father. He’s fond of me (he disliked my DH’s ex) and as my parents are gone it’s nice for my kids to keep contact. He’s well into his 80s now but in good health. It’s a connection I do not want to lose.
Its not your DH solving his ex’s problems, he’s doing something for his son, which is wonderful and should be encouraged.

Tbh OP I can’t see how in the slightest this is anything to do with you. He sounds lovely, you sound like a jealous teenager.
