I found an engagement ring!!!!!

After almost 7 years together and hoping that I'd get a proposal... I've just accidentally found the ring!!!!!!!! Putting his flaming underwear away, stuffed at the back of the drawer! Of course I looked... tried it on... it's exactly what I'd wanted and is my size! I'm overjoyed! But annoyed I found it too!

I can't tell anyone of course... I have to keep it all in! But... ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm just so freakin' excited!!!!!!!

I really hope he does it soon... he knows I don't do flashy, public things. So I'm hoping it's romantic and just the two of us, or just our family (we both have children from previous relationships). He knows me so well though so I'm sure it will be lovely. He's a teacher, so I'm guessing something might happen over the summer holidays 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. Or perhaps it could be later this year near my 40th. I'm guessing it won't be for my 40th though, he wouldn't do it then. But he might do it around that time.

Sorry for all the exclamations marks! I'm a little excited as you can probably tell.

We’re doing everything backward - got married last month after 30+ years together and now think I need an engagement ring. Really looking for something unusual too - whether it’s £100 or £1000 I don’t care.

Omg you put your partner’s underwear away and he looks after your children?! . Anyone would think you are in an equal relationship, it must be truly awful to be in such a caring relationship where you do stuff for each other.

Congratulations, it sounds like this is very well deserved after the previous relationship. Your hubby to be, sounds like mine, a keeper! We also share responsibilities too and are very happy!

This happened to me exactly at seven years as well. It was hard to contain my excitement and shock. I in the end did tell him many years later that I had found the ring.

Some of the posts made me roll my eyes and want to clutch my fake pearls and cry out, “Won’t somebody please think of the children!” Joking aside, I reported a few of the nastier posts. Mindlessly scrolling on Facebook, when DP notices I'm scrolling through rings (don't even know why, they just popped up!). He says, why are you looking at rings? I said oh you know, might see something I like. He said, (with rising panic in his voice) I thought you saw a ring you liked... I replied, well... there are always other options out there 🙈.
Poor guy, I could see the worry in his eyes 🤣.

That's mean to do that to him. Quite cruel actually. Especially when you shouldn't have looked, opened the box, tried it on and posted about it. Then complained you're annoyed you did all that.
