I found an engagement ring!!!!!

After almost 7 years together and hoping that I'd get a proposal... I've just accidentally found the ring!!!!!!!! Putting his flaming underwear away, stuffed at the back of the drawer! Of course I looked... tried it on... it's exactly what I'd wanted and is my size! I'm overjoyed! But annoyed I found it too!

I can't tell anyone of course... I have to keep it all in! But... ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm just so freakin' excited!!!!!!!

I really hope he does it soon... he knows I don't do flashy, public things. So I'm hoping it's romantic and just the two of us, or just our family (we both have children from previous relationships). He knows me so well though so I'm sure it will be lovely. He's a teacher, so I'm guessing something might happen over the summer holidays 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. Or perhaps it could be later this year near my 40th. I'm guessing it won't be for my 40th though, he wouldn't do it then. But he might do it around that time.

I figured out my DP was going to pop the question before he did it 🙈 I wear my Nana’s ring on my right ring finger and take it off before bed as my hands sometimes swell in the night. Went to put it on one morning and it was missing, looked everywhere for it but it was ‘gone’. Reappeared a few days later and I asked DP if he had anything to do with it, he said he’d found it in the bathroom 🤔 worked out he must have taken it to get it sized. Didn’t say anything until after he proposed and he admitted it 😂

Update... no update as yet 😂. Other than this is absolutely killing me!
I have no idea when, or how... I just want him to crack on with it now!
School finishes this week, so I'm hoping it might not be too much longer! Feel like I'm going to explode in to a million emotions!
I tell you what though, it sure has spurred on my weight loss/toning efforts! I've lost 5.5st in just over a year, and started at the gym 4 months ago. I just picture me in a wedding dress and boy do I run faster and lift higher 🤣.

Hopefully soon! I wonder is would a subtle nudge like 'Mark down the road proposed to me earlier and I'm thinking of saying yes since we don't look to be getting married' 😂ah no, honestly prob nothing you can say

We go on holiday Friday. I'm not going to check before we go though (I am repeating this to myself over and over!!!). I don't know how he'd get it there though as he won't have his own hand luggage (it's a shared one!), and he can hardly put it in his pocket! Would he risk putting it in the hold case?! I hope not! 🙈

The lesser of 2 evils for me would be checking , if it's there then I'd be disappointed for a day or so then I'd pull myself together and enjoy the holiday
If it's not there anymore you know he's probably gonna do it on this holiday
If you don't check and he doesn't propose you're going to be on edge all the time with a possible huge disappointment at the end of the holiday

Well, it's the night before our holiday! Cases mostly packed. Ring still in its "safe place" 🙈. Getting a little anxious that he isn't bringing it! I've still no idea how he'd sneak it in...
But he did just do a totally random thing when I walked downstairs after painting my nails, of asking me how they look and getting me to show him. So, that has potential! He has literally never noticed my nails in his life. Let alone asked how they looked after painting them!
Sadly the budget doesn't stretch to getting them done properly, so I hope he asks pretty soon before the chipping inevitably begins!!!
I'll check one more time tomorrow morning. If its still there then I shall assume he isn't bringing it and be somewhat gutted. But then again he may have something else planned that he knows I'd prefer more... arghhhhhhhh! The suspense is now killing me inside!

I think you should tell him you found it. If he does propose I would hate all the lying, you knowing about it first etc. I’m sure he won’t be annoyed that you found it, it’s not like you were snooping.
