Hey I've been seeing my new boyfriend for about 3 months, I'm starting to fall for him. The only one issue is he does not ejaculate when we have sex, I have asked him about this and he says, he doesn't always and h3 think he could be mentally blocking it out,

Do you mean he doesn’t orgasm or he doesn’t ejaculate when he does orgasm?

is he on meds like SSRI’s ?

MaggieNextDoor · 15/01/2024 18:40

How old is he? Does he have any medical issues?

Jojo77777 · 15/01/2024 19:25

He is 54, he doesn't orgasm or ejaculate no medical issues I am aware of

What don't mean 'mentally blocking it out'? If it isn't happening there can't be much to block out

Maybe he's nervous or put too much pressure on himself. Have you tried finishing him off with a hj?

Beaniehats78 · 15/01/2024 20:10

Does he masturbate and reach orgasm and ejaculation doing that?

Jojo77777 · 15/01/2024 20:31

He says he can on his own. I tried other stuff, he can get an erection but nothing else.

Most likely too much porn.

I had this with someone I was seeing. I addressed it and he blamed stress. Sex went to literally 0 after that ☹️

Sdpbody · 15/01/2024 20:37

Porn... and almost 100%, it's porn. Death grip.

Ianzi · 15/01/2024 20:47

You picked yourself a winner here op.

I'd get out now before you fall in love.

wantmorenow · 15/01/2024 21:26

Really! Would the advice be to leave a woman who cannot orgasm through sex?

If you are not looking at having children together and it seems that at his age this may be unlikely then if the sex is good then him "not finishing" is not the be all and end all. It's very possible to have a fulfilling sex life if he is able to maintain an erection yet not orgasm. Don't throw away what may be a great relationship without thinking it through.

If he can ejaculate when on his own then it sounds like nerves, or is he maybe ejaculating a little too much or often when on his own to make himself last longer when with you but it’s stopping him from finishing all together.

Would you same to a man who was seeing a woman who couldn’t orgasm?

Superdupersomeone · 15/01/2024 21:41

Is he on any medication that could be contributing to the problem. An ex of mine had this exact issue due to his medication (SSRIs).

bejewelled13 · 15/01/2024 21:44

DH struggled with this the first few months of our relationship. It was nerves, all good now after we got completely comfortable with eachother. No problems. Could he be nervous?

Ianzi · 15/01/2024 21:49

@nameForThis99 3 months into a relationship and I find out that the person I am with can't even have an orgasm no matter what I did and yet bluntly say, yeah I can finish myself off when I'm alone but not with you ? No explanation whatsoever if it's nerves, medical conditions, too much porn etc. No thanks I don't want to live the rest of my life like that.

DustyLee123 · 15/01/2024 21:51

Sounds like ED. Is he on antidepressants as they can stop you finishing.

Fortho · 15/01/2024 21:54

How old are you? Is there still a risk of pregnancy as that can be another reason.

Opentooffers · 15/01/2024 22:03

Delayed ejaculation can happen as men get older. It's more frustrating for them than you, so if he's OK with it, you could just enjoy the ride for as long as you want, and no mess. Ask him how he feels about it, if he's fine, does it have to be problem for you? If sex is great other than that, why worry?

The OP says he can get an erection so probably not ED
but certainly could be a side effect of SSRIs
