Where did you meet your partner?

I've been a single mum for a while now and would like to meet someone (this year hopefully!), however it feels like a total minefield 🥲

I'm looking for some inspiration so would like to ask, where did you meet your partner?

I met my husband in a gym
jacuzzi in 1993.

We were volunteering. It meant we had loads of time to get to know each other without any pressure. Plus I knew he had similar values based on his decision to volunteer.

Like Clyde - we met through volunteering, it meant we had shared values and interests. Married over 35 years ... (although after a major clash of views this evening I sometimes wonder what happened to those shared values ... he probably thinks the same ).

Tinder. Met 8 years ago in 2016 and been married nearly 4 1/2 years.

We met originally as young adults in a group of friends but we don't really remember each other from then.

When we met and got together it was in a pub at a mutual friend's gig and she set us up. That was 2013, we've been together ever since and will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary this year.

Married for 12 years and then he left.
Don't bother with online dating now, it's changed massively for the worse

Met at secondary school but no interest. No contact until uni (back in the days of no mobile phone nor social media) and met online via instant messaging as I was in studying in another country.

At a rave under a railway arch - probably not a useful suggestion for single mum unless your kids are bit older!

I met him at a nightclub. Thought he was gorgeous and approached him at the bar and said "you can buy me a drink". He did and we've been together ever since. 13 years and he's still gorgeous 🥰

Downstairs flat had a party and invited their old uni friends. I bobbed down for a quick drink and ended up having a ONS with one of the old uni friends.

We've now been married for 43 years! 😃
