By the time I go to bed tonight I'll know whether my marriage is over...

FAQ · 24/02/2008 12:12

and am dreading it. DH and I are going to "chat" tonight about what is going to happen.

I want to go back to Relate and reach a compromise on the things which are causing the issues - before I went away he told me point blank he wouldn't go back.

I need to explain to him that me doing things "his way" - wouldn't actually stop the arguments/stop me getting frustrated but actually make it worse

If he still refuses to even consider compromises then we'll be finished .

Really dreading it (the chat) and wish I was still back up in Edinburgh.

I would be happy to help if I am near enough?

FAQ · 24/02/2008 19:49

thanks Nab - pretty sure you're not - there's only about 2/3 MN'ers (that I know of) that live anywhere near me at all - and one of those is in the town where Relate is.....

I am in Kent..

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 24/02/2008 19:50

Could you drop the children with her????

FAQ · 24/02/2008 20:02

I don't know - I think she works in the day and it would mean the DS's missing school/nursery too.

(there are times when I really hate living in this town )

Where are you>

FAQ · 24/02/2008 20:50

Wellingborough - Northamptonshire (whose claim to fame is having one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy in the UK outside of the major cities )

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 24/02/2008 20:56

Oh, not near me and I don't know anyone there either.

MN?!?!?!

flowerybeanbag · 24/02/2008 21:04

FAQ sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. I'm 45mins away if I can do anything? I can't actually drive just at the moment though due to an injured foot but hopefully will be able to soon.

FAQ · 24/02/2008 21:08

Thanks flowery (curious as to where you are - I thought you were up near K999 somewhere )

flowerybeanbag · 24/02/2008 21:11

I'm near Huntingdon, so it's actually a pretty easy journey to you from here.

I do mean it, if there's anything I can help with, or if you could do with some company or something, please let me know. Give me a week or two for my foot to mend and I'm all yours!

FAQ · 24/02/2008 21:13

thank you - I shall bear (bare?) it in mind.

Lol FAQ...you maybe thought that about Flowery because sometimes we post on the same threads, although I have to say she is way better than me at giving out advice!!

Mind you, I do give her referrals so I think that this counts towards her success!

FAQ · 24/02/2008 21:17

no I think I just have no idea where people live .

at Flowery!

FAQ...I really hope things work out the way you want them to....you really deserve it.....however if they dont then Edinburgh will welcome you!!!!

Tbh I cant wait to back right in the heart of the city this summer!!!

FAQ · 24/02/2008 21:22

K999 - see my post on the BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR and my latest thread I started - I would love to move back to edinburgh if things didn't work out with DH - but I'm not sure I could do it because of the DS's (we'd be miles from their daddy, and they would be leaving schools/friends/everything they know behind).

K999 · 24/02/2008 21:24

I understand FAQ. I realise that it would be a difficult decision to make, but at least you know that if the worst came to the worst then you have family (and friends) up here.....

flowerybeanbag · 24/02/2008 21:24

And btw if I did live near Karen Beryl I would be huffy at not having been invited on your recent night out as well....

K999 · 24/02/2008 21:28

For Gods Sake Flowery, I give you referrals, I tell people that you will be along soon to help them AND you want invited to the night out.....sorry but it is only the plebs that get to go.....

Actually, you should get that lovely DH of yours to bring you to Edinburgh for a weekend when the Festival is on.....it is fab...and your boring lawyery DH could speak to my boring lawyery DP!!!

FAQ · 24/02/2008 21:29

oh god, oh god , oh god - just talk of Edinburgh at Festival time has made me go all gooey...........

I luurrrrve Edinburgh. I went on a rowdy well-behaved hen weekend there a couple of years ago and DH and I stayed at the Balmoral for our just-before-DS holiday as well. I climbed up to the castle while heavily pregnant!

FAQ · 24/02/2008 21:32

flowery - we could both fly up together (from Luton)
