Marks on his penis

I am in a long distance relationship. My boyfriend has admitted to masturbation when I am not there. The other day I saw him and noticed he had some red scratch marks and a small chunk of skin missing on the outer skin of his penis. Is this normal after masturbation? I hadn't caused those marks.

It has made me paranoid in case another woman has done this. He did catch up with a female friend of his not long ago at her home which he claims he has never fancied her. She lives with her ex partner but I don't know if he was there when my boyfriend went round.

I don't want to jump to conclusions.

This is full of oddities. Why you would you not just say "ouch, what happened to your dick?" before, or after you slept with him, if you didn't want to spoil the mood? The same as you would if he'd a scratch in his arm?
