Well you might want to retouch your makeup PC or, you might want to do what I always do, have your hair cut, washed and dried then go home and do it all again yourself!

Baffy · 12/02/2008 12:41

I'm meeting FIL tonight to take him for a pint!

cheeky!!

TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 12:42

Well spit in it first!

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2008 12:45

lol, and there was me thinking you'd missed the wellies!

tbh TFM, i'd go safe with the shoes and get something you can wear again. navy can be difficult to match so you can't go wrong with the black with a cream details. especially with that dress.

if you went for a purple wrap you could match with a lilac clutch from same seller

Its red hat isnt it - i bought 2 pairs of red shoes last year!!

However the last time i went to ascot i was not wearing knickers (but please dont tell anyone) as i was wearing one of those hold you all in things that had a 'hole' at the correct place!! iykwim.

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2008 12:48

baffy! i had a fiver on 12 days! make him buy and nail him with your huge disappointment in his lack of care for ds and consideration for you!

TFM, yeah that's what I'm worried about tbh! if i stick to a trim, wash n blow-dry without any fancy-pants faffing around then it should be fine.

last time i had it cut/dried i ended up with this huge bouffant thing going on EEK!

OP posts:
TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 12:48

Yes PC, definately need something I can wear again so we will stick to safe

What you wearing for your 'meeting' tomorrow. Are you dressing to impress

HappyWoman · 12/02/2008 12:49

PC go for a haircut - really show him you are ready for change, and it always make you feel so much better after.

TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 12:49

HW!! Brilliant!

HappyWoman · 12/02/2008 12:50

So come on baffy - who arranged the meeting tonight?

TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 12:51

Can you go for a haircut in the morning PC? Then you have plenty of time to titivate etc. This is a very important meeting you know. There is no room for error!

TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 12:52

I think Baffy is winding us up isn't she? Are you Baffy? I think she was matching my sarcasm

Baffy · 12/02/2008 12:52

no no
I was only winding TFM up because she thinks I'll cave in again.

I'm not really meeting him!!

Sorry!!

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2008 12:53

I'm wearing a fat face skirt that's A-line with a pleat in the middle with a buckle at the top and low side pockets. it's in a sort of army green two tone colour.

surfy/camo kinda look.

knee high rich brown shiny flat boots.

fitted brown roxy long sleeve scoop neck top with a flower detail and slightly batwing cuffs.

boden faux sheepskin gilet.

very yummy mummy and west london, casual but smart and a bit boho iyswim.

he ain't deservin of anything too sexy! last time we went out i wore a mini-skirt, high boots and a fitted high neck top and he couldn't take his eyes off my boobs!

OP posts:
Baffy · 12/02/2008 12:53

Glad you got me!

TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 12:56

That all sounds great PC. You will look lovely No, don't do sexy, we need him to keep his mind on the job in hand

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2008 12:57

you're prob right, i should do the hair cut in the morning really. give myself time to A) get rid of all the itchy hair and B) re-do it the way I like it!

next problem is where do i go? I have no actual hairdresser LOL!

I will blame my sinus/headcold for having been sucked in sooo easily Baffy!

hw, at strategic hole! wish i had the nerve to go without knicks but never have!

OP posts:
TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 13:00

ooh you should try in PC! IN FACT, why not be really norty and go commando tomorrow! Sit there across from H, all the time thinking "i know something you don't know"

Yes, definatley get haircut in the morning. As for where you go, have a look through the windown first and make sure the hairdresser are young and none of them has a blue rinse and a curly perm, you should be safe then. re you going for a radical change or just a trim and shape up?

Baffy · 12/02/2008 13:00

PMSL at 'hole in the right place' HW

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2008 13:06

oooh no TFM! not in winter with manky tights on!

I shall just enjoy wearing my best and sexiest underwear that H has never seen (and never will quite possibly!).

it's just a trim and tidy up, nothing radical. altho i know H would like me to go back to being really blonde I quite like my natural hair colour. Now that I know what it is after so many years of highlighting it LOL

OP posts:
TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 13:11

Just cut a hole in the tights, in the 'right place'

Never mind what H would like/love. Its your hair and from now on, you have your hair exactly how you like it. Afterall, having it really blonde, just as he liked it, didn;t make him stick around did it? Nope, sod that for a game of dominoes!

I think your hair would look lovely all nicely layered around your face, you have such a lovely face, it would frame it nicely. Still long but layered, IYSWIM.

ginnedup · 12/02/2008 13:12

I understand how betrayed you feel Baffy and it won't hurt to let the IL's know how much they have let you down. Let them stew for a while while you concentrate on yourself and ds. Totally re H's antics when your ds had a fit - and he has the nerve to say you aren't thinking of your son. He really takes the biscuit doesn't he.
Good luck tomorrow PC, I would love to learn to stay silent sometimes, I have a tendency to open mouth and let rip before engaging brain and then afterwards think "why didn't I just say nothing?"
Hope you are enjoying your sickie. You've picked the right day for it, its gorgeous out there (what little I can see of it through my office window )
Hope everyone else is OK.

TimeForMe · 12/02/2008 13:12

I'm liking the 'never will quite possibly' thats a 'Baffy' double negative is that

Paddlechick666 · 12/02/2008 13:17

mmmm, i'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to my hair. took me so long to grow it and it's so easy to manage all one length etc i tend to play safe and keep it this way.

it's up most of the time when dd is around anyways.

my sinus head is banging away, just hope it improves before tomorrow.

i've actually realised i've got quite a bit to do today now!

loads of forms to fill in etc which i never feel like doing in the evenings.

drop papers back to solicitor for amendment etc.

quite fancy a nice warm bath too......... tried to sleep again this morning but couldn't drop off.
