Can’t believe it, but here we are on Thread 5!

Thread 4 here

Just back from a 4.5 mile run - bit cold this morning! I’ve sea monkeys growing in the kitchen, soaps hardening in the bathroom, and the carpets are full of glitter. They had a great weekend!

The thumb also seems to be improving. Phew.

All on today to prep for tomorrow’s meeting with Geller. He really does seem broken. But I will not waiver.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and all health ailments are on the mend. Time to slap on some moisturiser - caught the sun this weekend - but look much better for it!

Awesome result Polly Wine

Sunbird24 · 27/04/2021 21:02

Well done Polly. Like you said this was business. It was just about getting a fair settlement for your girls and it sounds like you did a great job.

pointythings · 27/04/2021 21:03

So brilliantly well done! Bet he doesn't know what hit him - all that sneaking around trying to hide money and here you are, a big fat winner. You've secured life for yourself and your DDs. You completely rock.

Figmentofimagination · 27/04/2021 21:07

Well done Polly! You got what you needed and didn't let him defeat you!

SEE123 · 27/04/2021 21:08

So glad to find a link to the new thread, and your update Polly.
I knew he wouldn't have prepared, you weren't there to organise him! Well done for sticking to the plan and keeping a level head. You're so right that court and the stress of it probably won't have been worth it for the extra £.

Gin&Thanks for you!

RandomMess · 27/04/2021 21:09

I really hope he doesn't try and back track and make out you bamboozled him or "bullied" 🙄

LittleMissNaice · 27/04/2021 21:18

Are you definitely sure he's not hiding any more money, Polly?

Anniegetyourgun · 27/04/2021 21:20

You cry all you want, love. You've earned a little emotional self-indulgence. It must have been knackering, but it's done.

Now make sure it gets nailed down in writing in full view of solicitors ASAP.

adultingforever · 27/04/2021 21:20

I have followed all along, but not commented. You are legend now, you know? I really hope this is the last of the really difficult parts!! Grin Daffodil Star

StuckInPollyannaMode · 27/04/2021 21:22

I don’t THINK he is. The look on his face when I said I knew about his bonus and money from family and was considering a forensic accountant was worth it all.

In the scheme of things I could have fought far harder for more of the pension but you know what? I’ve not got it in me. This way I can buy a place and live and move on. That’s worth far more.

Just got into bed to find the cat has been sick on it.

Talk about a new low!

Lougle · 27/04/2021 21:25

Well done doesn't cover it. You're incredible. Rotate the duvet and get some sleep Flowers

Welshgal85 · 27/04/2021 21:31

Well done Polly!

RandomMess · 27/04/2021 21:38

All cats are utter bastards.

We so miss our bastard cat everyday 😢

My new low of the day I discovered I have some sort of prolapse 😭🤦🏼‍♀️

drspouse · 27/04/2021 21:38

Hurrah! Well done!

frazzledasarock · 27/04/2021 21:40

Cats are dicks!

Well done Polly, taking it to court would also incur crazy fees for solicitors and court and barristers.

You’ve done amazingly.

Not surprised you feel so emotional. Hope you have a restful sleep.

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 27/04/2021 21:41

Yes! I just shouted "yes! Polly won!" Then had to say " oh, nothing, just something on mumsnet" to the family Grin Blush Grin

Immunetypegoblin · 27/04/2021 21:56

Amazing - you have done so well Polly, very well done!

LannieDuck · 27/04/2021 22:20

Brilliant job, well done.

Theluggagerules · 27/04/2021 22:22

Aw you did so well, and without you - he didn't! BTW that tune just played in my house and I just lolled Wink

Justilou1 · 27/04/2021 22:23

So happy that you beat him with what he values most and now considers you a worthy adversary.
Sorry about the cat sick! Little twerp!

DifficultBloodyWoman · 27/04/2021 22:23

Polly, you are bloody brilliant!

And your cat is, well, a typical bloody cat.

SpringCrocus · 27/04/2021 23:02

I was a flight attendant for a while... standard answer to the “Don’t you know who I am?” question was “If you’re having a hard time remembering, it should say so on your ticket...”
