How often do you wash?

Basically this. I shower everyday and my DP hasn’t washed since Tuesday, and regularly goes days without washing. Is this normal?

Also I couldn’t date anyone who showers infrequently. It will give me the ick and then there’s no going back

I shower every evening, same as dh and dc. Washes the day off!

Shower daily & can be more often if required due to exercise. Wash hair less frequently (2-3 times per week) but it's very curly and doesn't respond well to daily washing.

Does he not even do a basic 'sink wash' in the morning when shaving (unless of course he has a full beard or some such)?

I dunno, if I was in OP's position I wouldn't have had sex since Tuesday!

We all do 3 days a week all have skin issues and can't do more but sink wash daily

Shower and hair wash every morning and both again if going out in the evening or I have had a day when I have worked up a sweat ( no second hair wash )

No, that's not normal in my experience.

I never get the point of top and tail sink washes for more than just hands and face. Not sure I'd like dh hanging his bits over the sink🤣. I'd rather we just have a quick shower and prob faster!

What's a sink wash?

The only time I've ever skipped a shower since childhood is when I've been travelling long haul. Then the first thing I do on arrival somewhere is grab a shower and get clean.

It can take as little as 2 minutes and just feels so much better. I don't understand these threads at all.

At least one shower a day, often 2 as I exercise a lot. I couldn’t be with someone who didn’t shower when they woke up in the morning as a matter of routine personal hygiene

When I was young (1960s/1970s) we had a bath once a week, on a Sunday evening, but we washed under arms and between legs every day.
This was usual.

Depends on the day surely?

If I'm in work I'll have one super speedy 2min wake up shower before work and a proper wash when I get home.

But if I was off work for the day, going nowhere and not gardening or doing a massive spring clean etc that would make me sweaty or grubby. Then I'd quite happily not have a shower 🤷‍♀️

When working, everyday. Now I'm a SAHM and if I've not done anything or been anywhere then il just have a sink wash. So every other day. DP showers every day.

I shower and wash my hair daily. My DH will easily go 3 -4 days with no shower.
He doesn't enjoy it and whilst I moan at him he also doesn't smell.

Luckily he's an amazing husband and father and if this is his most annoying feature I don't care because I have much worse habits.

P.S he always showers before we have sex as otherwise he wouldn't get any !

I shower every day and so does my husband. We may skip one day during the week but that's all.

Hmmm my ex was like that, couldn't imagine going to work without showering every day.

Sex and especially bjs were out the question when he was like that 😠 probably contributed to our lack of intimacy and eventual break up

The people that say they don’t smell probably do but are nose blind to their own smell but sorry the rest of us can smell you.

I can say for 100% I don’t smell. I can only assume the people that insist we do, are the ones that would actually smell if they themselves didn’t shower daily. Quite understandably they can’t understand how someone else can not shows fur a couple of days and not smell!

DP gets BO so has to shower every day and we often giggle at how he stinks. He can smell it himself and nearby boaks so it’s rubbish to assume you can’t smell it on yourself.

I also had a teacher years ago that used to smell really strongly on BO. She was a small thin women so it was hard to understand why. I can only assume she had some sort of hormone imbalance.

Not everyone gets BO- I can honestly say I don’t.

Well I wouldn’t know that as I shower daily but there seems to be so many smelly dirty people who seem so oblivious to their own stink, especially on public transport!

Everyday and everything in the sink after a number 2. Also in the evenings if together with my partner, just in case the lotto balls all fall in correctly

I agree, they give me the boak too. Those people don’t wash their clothes etc either though and probably don’t shower/wash for weeks on end 🤢🤮
