I have found two lipsticks in my husband’s car. Side pocket. Passenger seat. The first one I found he froze and acted strangely and completely refused to discuss it. He kept this up and acted strangely. Our kids were in the car. I thought it was a weird wind up ( he can be a bit strange in his humour.)
Second one found last night. Shit. What do I do? He doesn’t know about this one. I can only think of one possible person.
Any advice gratefully received. I’m stunned.
I think he will refuse to discuss it.
We have had marriage probs and are not in a good place.
😳🤷‍♀️🤯🤔😢

Sorry op having been in a similar position I hate to say it, but I think he's gaslighting you. Classic behaviour.

Did you check the archived messages on whatspp?

Another reason for no messages could well be because he's in the habit of deleting them.

I would be keeping an eye on the situation.

hellsbellsmelons · 13/01/2020 13:34

Ask to see his phone again.
Go to settings then battery.
See where he is spending his time!
He may be deleting apps but he can't hide what he's been on them in the battery usage!!!

VAR in the car

2 lipsticks lost in the same place though?

Who goes anywhere (that requires a car journey) without their bag. You would surely put lipstick back in yr bag.

Interestedwoman · 13/01/2020 21:04

@TheYearOfTheDog I always have my bag but often manage to lose lipsticks under car seats (It wasn't me, OP!) I've heard that other women have the same issue.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 13/01/2020 21:25

Time to see a lawyer!
Forget messing around with stupid games, he's played it right down hasn't he
Hmm can't think why her husband was asking if she was having an affair!

The fact he suggested an open relationship says it all really

letsgogogo · 13/01/2020 21:34

What's the point of wasting time sneaking around and spying on him? It's surely only prolonging your pain?

2 lipsticks in the car could be innocent... it could be a woman who has a crush on him trying to stir up shit. Even so, I would question why he's even had her in the car in the first place, let alone twice... but it's likely it's not that, it's likely He's having an affair and she's trying to cause a breakup at last ... Asking for an open relationship is then the cherry on the top.

So unless you're onboard with an open relationship or you're willing to put up with him cheating, I wouldn't bother even trying to find out 'the truth'... I'm sorry you're going through this

His suggestion of an open marriage makes clear that he wants to have sex with others.

I think your H is lying and diverting you with a fake, over-detailed story featuring OW, her husband, her friends and their bosses. Of course he is dismissing the planted lipsticks, denying infidelity, and blaming you for his previous stonewalling. He and OW may not be messaging because they do their affair planning at work, or perhaps he deletes.

If this were my relationship, I wouldn’t waste time with more sleuthing. I would end things because of the open marriage suggestion.
