Hi Dior, I wrote a long message to you last night and lost it when my server went down . But hope you got my birthday wishes on the fab&glam thread. Sorry H was just his usual self though. You'd think he could manage to be a bit more generous-spirited on your birthday at least!

All our computers are acting up today - tempting to spend the whole day on MN instead of work - but don't think that would go down too well!

So what now, in your 38th year? Brand new start? Onwards and upwards !!?

Do you need a haircut yet, or does the Barber only do boys (I could have phrased that better perhaps )!

God Dior, he should be grateful that you're not on your second bottle of gin! I would be, if I had to live with someone constantly monitoring my behaviour!!

I know, it IS hard when they're sort-of nice - it'd be so much easier if he did something really outrageous - an affair or physical violence. I do understand.

Yes, dp's in some god-forsaken one-horse town in Germany - though I think they drive to Cologne today. He had a pleasant but rather dull birthday as there was no nightlife in the place and he was lucky to find just one internet cafe to call me from. They found an Irish bar with a TV, but had to ask them to turn it on to watch England getting stuffed in the rugby. Last year they found a nightclub and had a jolly bop, but this year they all went back to the hotel at 11pm and he had a bottle of wine and some cheese on his own, said he wished I'd been there to help him.

I'm hoping to fly over end of the month though, and he'll be in a really pretty town then, so we'll have a proper birthday celebration then.

Nice to know he's missing me now, especially after his stupid behaviour last week .Have to admit I'm rather enjoying being an all-female household at the moment!

Tanee58 · 22/10/2007 12:39

Perhaps you should have put a brick in the pillow !

Tanee58 · 22/10/2007 12:41

Oh bottoms - our computer shared drive is up again - I suppose I ought to do some work. Catch up with you later, and you have as many diet cokes as you want !

sallyfubsylittlebat · 22/10/2007 14:41

Hi Dior - sorry I missed your birthday - happy belated one!

Can only get online at work, and thats only if computer is available. Fed up, but keeping occupied making stuff for a Christmas fair.

Hows it going? Are you any nearer saying anything to him, or are you waiting for advice from the solicitor?

ginnedupumpkin · 22/10/2007 21:59

Thats a bit spooky - our server went down today as well, so did my friend's. Wonder what's going on!
Glad you had a good birthday Dior, despite H being a prize prat.
Everytime he behaves that way you are one step closer to getting rid.

Oh Dior, CONGRATULATIONS - see, you CAN do it, and you're doing it for yourself!

ginnedupumpkin · 24/10/2007 15:24

Well done that's wonderful.

I bet you look great.

Keep up the good work!

sallyfubsylittlebat · 25/10/2007 10:47

God thats brilliant Dior - wish I could say the same!

My faukt for getting the new Nigella book - its not exactly health food

Baffy · 25/10/2007 11:17

That's brilliant Dior well done!!

Tanee58 · 25/10/2007 12:53

Oh dear... I've asked my mum for the Nigella book - though having seen some of the series, I'm beginning to wonder why - I don't think I live on Planet Nigella - can't remember the last time I went to the supermarket by taxi - or got up in the middle of the night to create high cal snacks .

sallyfubsylittlebat · 25/10/2007 14:00

The breakfast bars are good, Tanee!

Tanee58 · 25/10/2007 14:16

Yes, but my waistline - oooh, my waistline! 31 inches when I last checked. That's not good, is it?

sallyfubsylittlebat · 25/10/2007 15:25

I havent got the nerve to check mine. Do you do it whilst slumped or upright and sucking everything in?

Tanee58 · 25/10/2007 18:45
  • all sucked in of course - then it comes to 33ins !
