Glad my PMT days are over. Now I get the occasional hot flush.

I realised this morning that my friend doesn't lead WW, she's a Slimmers World person. Used to be very slim, but she's now probably a size 16/18. Doesn't stop her being one of the most attractive women I know, and her DH obviously agrees. Last time she lost a bit of weight, she got pregnant (unplanned) with DS3. After that she resigned herself to being plump, but is great at motivating others. When I'm feeling down, she's one of the best tonics I know.

well done dior,

I lost a lot of weight last year (put a lot of it back on again now though!!) and when i went to Slimming world i didnt want to know how much i weighed. I did find out how much i lost each week though. It was great to just see it coming down actually. I also think you know in yourself if you have had a good week no matter what the scales say, i used to write a line before i went to boost myself, such as i have a good week and feel so much better/healthier no matter what number it is. Also just knowing you are doing something is good. You will soon feel the difference in your clothes.

Good too for not needing h to support you - do this just for you.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Tanee58 · 19/09/2007 14:05

Yes, and weighing can be deceptive, since as you get fitter, muscle weighs more than fat - so measurements are probably more reliable than weighing. That's what I found when I tried a low carb diet some years ago (it worked, need to try it again) - I just found clothes felt looser on me and the inches reduced. I tried to avoid getting on the scales.

Tempting to tell him you'd like a separation for your birthday - or maybe not ?

When is your birthday? Dp, exH & BIL all have b'days in October. My sis and I have both wound up with Librans (we're both Pisces).

Ignore the 'arse' comment - it might not have been you at all.

Tanee58 · 19/09/2007 14:18

Actually, why not ask him for a cheque and start a 'running away' fund? My sister has one even though she's been generally happily married for 19 years. She says you never know when you'll need it .

Bloody hell Dior, that's DP's birthday! Yep, indecisive! But incredibly attractive and sensitive and kind and loveable (that means you as well as my DP).

Aw Dior, did I forget to mention sexy? You know you are!

Tanee58 · 19/09/2007 18:02

The annoying thing is, dp will be touring in Germany on his birthday. Same thing happened last year. Bloomin' actors...

Hi Dior, just checking in that you're ok. Hope to catch you soon for a chat x

Tanee58 · 20/09/2007 14:20

Dior, happy to - unless I go to Germany that weekend. Rain check nearer the time?

Silly girl. At least it's taught her that cheating doesn't pay. Will it reflect on you? That's the only thing I'd worry about.

We're having a nice quiet day for once - the phones aren't ringing, so we've got Otis Redding playing on one of the computers and are ploughing through Residents' Surveys.

Always up for a girls night out - and you will receive invite to mine next year (big 50 when did I get to be that old)?!
