Hi,

I came out to my wife 11 years ago. She didn't take it well and had an affair. I found out and was heart broken. I eventually forgave her and we moved on to have another children and a happier marriage.

She came to terms with my crossdressing allowing my to wear hold ups, heels and underwear in the bedroom. Im aware of how luck your I am tan does I can tell you how liberating it is.

She does make the occasional derogatory comment and I get it. She also thinks it extremely rare.

I'd like to know how many Crossdresser S there are out there, so I can gage how rare or populate crossdressing is.

Thanks for taking the time to read and take part.

Ah okay. I don't know what that is, but I'll take your word for it Smile

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/11/2018 13:53

She means that she's surprised that so many men you went out with could actually fit in your clothes.

Hence small men.

I am too tbh!

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/11/2018 13:54

I don't think dh could get in a pair of my knickers Grin

category12 · 28/11/2018 13:55

Generally it's a message (online dating) along the lines of "you get home and find a tiny man has hidden himself in your handbag, what do you do? Do you keep him somewhere safe..?"

People are odd. Grin

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/11/2018 13:58

On the subject I agree with most other posters

Clothes are clothes fine people should be able to wear what they like

However most men who cross dress it seems to have sexual overtones, fetish. A caricature of a "sexy lady". That is different and lots of women will have an issue with it. Obviously.

I have never been out with a man who cross dressed afaik

I also think women can tell whether it's because the men just like different clothes colour whatever or whether it's fetishy, quite easily.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/11/2018 14:00

I honestly think she just literally meant they must be small.

Clear to me but not to others apparently am I missing something?

RatRolyPoly · 28/11/2018 14:11

Haha, oh, I see Grin No, I can assure you the men were/are not small in the euphemistic sense (although dp is very slim in the buttock area and very broad across the shoulders; fairly standard physique for not-overweight men I think). Maybe my pants are very stretchy, or maybe they just weren't worried about "coverage" - ha!

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/11/2018 14:13

Yes, i read littlbrowndog's comment as meaning that only small men will fit most lingerie. My DH would have shredded a lot of my stuff even though I'm a big woman.

lovetherisingsun · 28/11/2018 14:13

No one I know of has ever CD. No one I know's partner has CD. Though of course they may not talk about it.

northernlights0710 · 28/11/2018 14:16

My dearly departed mum almost married a cross-dresser but called off the wedding. She told us: "I didn't want to get married to a pervert." That's what they were considered to be in those days.

I'm in my fifties, have shagged around a lot and have never, ever come across it. If I did, I'm with the PP who said he'd be dumped faster than he could say "Call me Barbara". I would find it a total turn-off.

I don't understand cross-dressing. It's a right old faff wearing dresses, tights and heels - especially in this cold weather! Give me jeans, jumper and Ugg boots any day!

Whoah, I just hit Google and it turns out you can actually buy lace underwear for men!!

I'm actually quite pleased - that's Christmas sorted - although that does mean I won't be making millions on Dragon's Den any time soon.

It does seem to be heavily aimed at the gay scene though, which I suppose makes sense. Het men may have embraced the pink shirt and the deep-V t-shirt, but perhaps they're a little way off the French Knicker for now.

DorothyLNaySayers · 28/11/2018 14:54

I had an ex who cross-dressed. When I found out about it, I tried to be cool about it for ages (I was a good bit younger then) but eventually I just couldn’t. It was a total turn-off.
It didn’t help that he obviously thought he was sexier as a woman than I was. Hmm

category12 · 28/11/2018 14:56

Oh that does make more sense Grin. Apologies for muddying the waters.

Doddlemoose · 28/11/2018 15:37

it’s often a version of being really sexually submissive and wanting the other party to dominate them - which is really a niche thing!

Echo the previous posters about control as well - people who are really submissive are also incredibly controlling - they want other people to do x, y and z TO them to prove how attractive they are Hmm

So it’s not just a case of “I like to wear a dress and break gender norms then we have normal couple naked sex” (which is sound) it’s like “you need to tell me I’m a sexy little bitch and stick a dildo up my arse whilst I’m in my silk stockings and stripper heels”.

And even worse- “you need to then claim you actually WANT to do this to me because I get off on being desired”

It’s emotionally damaging being coerced into a sexual or emotional narrative about your OWN needs which is untrue?

RatRolyPoly · 28/11/2018 15:50

Couldn't agree with that distinction more really.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/11/2018 16:27

Yep great post Doddle

Would also add to this bit

"it’s often a version of being really sexually submissive and wanting the other party to dominate them - which is really a niche thing! "

which says something very dodgy about how they view women / what it means to be a woman / what women are for >> hence lots of women feel really uncomfortable with this whether they consciously realise it or not.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/11/2018 16:28

I mean being dominated is a thing if you want to put on "women's clothes" to do it then I would suggest you have an iffy view of women and have been watching way too much porn.

Female is made into a sexual fetish not a fact of half the population of the world who are all different (not articulated very well sorry)

MrBuscuits · 28/11/2018 17:30

I think it can also boil down to just different clothes from only trousers / tracksuit bottoms / shorts... some like Eddie Izzard just throw on something like a smart suit and just go about their day... and some wives may put up with more 'masculine' skirt styles (straight denim) and there's partners who seem to tolerate it - such as pictured here.

The whole dressing up in the clothes to jack off is just nasty, and the rest of what comes with those who fetishize the clothes is just wrong.

As @Doddlemoose explained
So it’s not just a case of “I like to wear a dress and break gender norms then we have normal couple naked sex” (which is sound) it’s like “you need to tell me I’m a sexy little bitch and stick a dildo up my arse whilst I’m in my silk stockings and stripper heels”.

there is a fine line of them being 'just clothes' but it's the motive behind it... Eddie Izzard doesn't look too bad in his outfits of late Grin

I reckon it’s just dudes who want to fuck themselves!
Says a lot about them really

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 28/11/2018 18:20

Isn't Eddie transgender now? I saw him with breasts the other day.

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 28/11/2018 18:21

Or are their pronouns she now? I get confused with Eddies identity currently.

Never knowingly been with a cross dresser. For me, it's like smoking, or Chas & Dave. You can be into it if you like, but we would never be in a relationship together. Massive turn off.
