Dating thread rules:

  1. The first rule about the dating thread is you don't talk about it with people you're dating.
  2. Develop a thick skin.
  3. Do not invest emotionally too soon.
  4. It's all BS until it actually happens.
  5. Trust your gut instinct.
  6. People vanishing, lying & being generally weird is not your fault.
  7. You are the prize - they should be trying to impress you.
  8. If it's not fun, stop.
  9. Loo update is mandatory.
10. No dating the thread

Grin ha ha Kin
Honestly I'm surprised some people have friends let alone girl/boyfriends after reading these profiles, although it is entertaining me whilst hungover, but also getting me slightly annoyed at the same time.

Kinunir · 25/02/2018 17:12

Is a walking stick ok Kin?

Absolutely, I can have fun with one of those Wink

ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 17:12

Cover dress size 'south of 12
Make up properly applied (?) no pouts
Clothing 'have worked in fashion for 12 years, I have style, don't bother if you don't' or something similar but then job says construction?
I'm sure there is someone out there who will love him (or his money) but it got my hackles up :)

Pogmella · 25/02/2018 17:14

Size 8, natural make up... clingy clothes? How do guys talk about clothes?

Oooh ignoring send me his profile! I'm going to send him pics of me dressed as the Joker. My makeup was perfect and tailoring on point! And I'm South of a 12 (and South of most things at a little over 5'...)

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 17:17

“properly applied” you say? Oh so that’s what men want is it????

puts down trowel

ValMc1 · 25/02/2018 17:17

Ignoring - are you going to message him?

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 17:19

There better bloody not be snow on Tuesday Smeaton , as I’ve got a date with the one I’m reckoning is most likely to give me the FGs

ValMc1 · 25/02/2018 17:21

Smeaton just don't go out then until date time

ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 17:28

funnily enough Val i don't have any plans to message him no :) although as I have now looked at his profile 3 times he will probably think I am super keen!
Smeaton enjoy the date, I'm sure it will all go swimmingly (and Dave will have really smooth hands Grin )

ValMc1 · 25/02/2018 17:30

Was just on POF and my laptop crashed saying there was a problem - now I can't get on at all - is it telling me something?

VetOnCall · 25/02/2018 17:30

Properly applied?! So what, no lipstick on your forehead and eyeliner around your mouth? I sadly fail on his style criteria, I dress like I'm presenting Countryfile most days. Shame Grin

I'm meeting Mr BBC for a coffee tomorrow (she said, hopefully).

ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 17:31

Have now been messaged by one of my kids friends dad's though eek! No attraction there at all (physically ok but I already know he is a bit of an idiot) I mentioned the other day how this would happen in a small town, damn.

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 17:34

No pouting? Oh bugger.....

Dating Thread 129 - Time to put a new spring in your step
ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 17:38

Aw Cover you will now miss out on the catch of the century (who is also slightly overweight and bald)

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 17:45

Damn! And I’m so attracted to guys who don’t expect me to have any autonomy whatsoever......

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 17:47

Ignoring does kids friend’s Dad recognise you?

Kinunir · 25/02/2018 17:53

Grin Grin Grin - I'm bored, that's my excuse

ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 17:54

No I don't think so Cover, we have only met once very briefly, but now I have flagged up that our kids know each other (that was my reason for not meeting!) he will probably twig.
Mr DJ has been quiet all day (poss seen me on pof for ages and is avoiding the crazy lady, not realising it is purely research for the thread :) ) do I play it cool or breezily message hi? ( I am 42 ffs, should be able to handle this stuff now!)

Kinunir · 25/02/2018 17:56

.oO(that moment when POF forces you to remove 3/4 of your sent message due to naughty words)

Kinunir · 25/02/2018 17:58

Oh crap, I need more wine

RunsforCake14 · 25/02/2018 18:04

This thread keeps me sane and makes me laugh.
Between us we are gorgeous, funny, intelligent, witty and yet we're here because of our daily struggle to find someone who appreciates us. Why??

Either I'm lowering my standards or my new photo on Tinder is working because I've had 4 matches already today with minimal swiping. Chatting to 2 of them. Both way younger than me, oops Grin

Can I enter for inappropriate message of the day....

I buy boxes now so never run out - perhaps that's why POF crashed my computer Grin
