Dating thread rules:

  1. The first rule about the dating thread is you don't talk about it with people you're dating.
  2. Develop a thick skin.
  3. Do not invest emotionally too soon.
  4. It's all BS until it actually happens.
  5. Trust your gut instinct.
  6. People vanishing, lying & being generally weird is not your fault.
  7. You are the prize - they should be trying to impress you.
  8. If it's not fun, stop.
  9. Loo update is mandatory.
10. No dating the thread

Wasn't there a discussion about sploshing on here a while back? Maybe the same bloke is messaging multiple women with the same weird request

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 18:15

Spring oh you definitely can! What does “okay made I know” mean? And “other than you can”? I reckon he’s typing one handed 🤢

I’d message back and say your “perfect relationship” doesn’t include plastic sheeting/ trying to get baked beans out of the upholstery.

ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 18:16

That would stress me out if it was how he got his kicks every time, imagine the cleaning?
Val you have lost me? boxes of what? Pof crashed this morning a lot for me, yes I have had a really productive day :) I did go out for a roast but that's all I could manage.

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 18:20

I might go back in Bumble just to swipe. Or maybe OKC so I get some pervtastic messages....

esk1mo · 25/02/2018 18:20

springtime that sounds FUN

ValMc1 · 25/02/2018 18:20

Sorry Ignoring I was referring to Kin needing more red wine - I buy boxes so don't run out so often Smile

SpringtimeSun · 25/02/2018 18:22

So many of the weird and wonderful kinks that are out there (like sploshing, age play, golden showers, costume play) are just like normal life with little children. Picking up spilt food, toilet training, dressing up.
When I get some adult alone time with someone I fancy, I want the complete opposite of my life with children.

I has syphilitic hamsters in my POF inbox tonight Grin

Sploshing?! He sounds amazing, what a keeper!!! I'm crying with laughter. No wonder we're all single if this is what is on offer Grin

Kinunir · 25/02/2018 18:26

.oO(it's amazing what you can get away with when someone thinks you're drunk) Smile

ignoringthechoc · 25/02/2018 18:28

Grin lol
Boxes sound like the way forward Val although I think I will stay off the wine for a little while now, harder to recover as you get older!

Popple123 · 25/02/2018 18:29

Question for you all, when you start seeing someone, in the early stages how often do you meet up? So the time between dates 1 and 2 etc? I know it differs but just interested in how it has worked for you guys.

I’ve been on five first dates and not had a second yet...

VetOnCall · 25/02/2018 18:33

Spring sploshing 😂😂😂 sorry, that requires the proper smilies. I'm getting a mental image of what that might look like and 9 1/2 Weeks it ain't.

Kinunir · 25/02/2018 18:33

Popple I like 1/2 a week, preferably leaving me at least one weekend night to catch up with friends

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 18:40

Popple with the 2 blokes so far that I’ve had/planned a second with it’s been around 10 days. They did ask for the 2nd the same day as the first though....

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 18:51

Just thought I’d leave this here, Spring.......

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 18:53

Vet 9 1/2 Weeks with bald spots, questionable knitwear and 69p (ha!) tins of custard in the “VIP Room”

RunsforCake14 · 25/02/2018 18:56

Popple around a week to 10 days. But I've only had a second date with one bloke and that led to a relationship.

Tinder is going crazy for me this evening. Smile

Thanks cover and kin - my most recent date was lovely post date and hinted at meeting up but didn’t outright ask. So I just did - I think I’d prefer him to ask but I wanted to know. He’s suggested a day a week from our first date - if it even happens!

Also realised that I cannot multi date Confused

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 18:58

Runs yay! I might load it, am a bit bored with Match and fancy a distraction. Do you just use one photo? And do you need a profile or is it totally on appearance?

RunsforCake14 · 25/02/2018 19:01

Cover I've got 4 photos and a profile. I'm sure no one looks past the first photo or reads the profile.
I used to use a fake facebook account but I decided this time to use my real one and it shows if you have friends in common or friends of friends which I quite like.

ha ha, the most un-erotic brothel ever, I could imagine my old dinner lady working there, so matter of fact.
Could do with a proper 9 1/2 weeks experience though, where are those fifty shades soldier stories, that was better than sploshing!
I need a man :)

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 19:02

It accesses Facebook??? 😳

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 19:03

Actually I remember now Bumble did and included my school/Uni or something and I crapped myself.

CoverMeLads · 25/02/2018 19:04

Ignoring I haven’t had sex for over a year. A YEAR I need one too, big stylee.
