How many of you moved in as soon as you met each other and are you still together?

Did it work even though you moved too quickly?

Yes, fairyfly. I'd agreed to move in with my dp about five minutes after meeting him. Four months later I became pregnant, and by the time we'd been together just 13 months, we had a little boy (he's 2.6 now).

Why do you ask?

Spidermama · 02/05/2007 18:03

Me. It is working 17 years on. Just about.

southeastastra · 02/05/2007 18:04

i moved in after two months and we've been together about 18 years

fairyfly · 02/05/2007 18:04

because someone has asked me to live with them and i can't work out if it is the most stupid idea in the world or the best decision i ever made.

We were at Uni but we started living together (split our time between his digs and mine depending on who we had pissed off and the suupply of skunk) after about three weeks, and pooled our finances then too. Never looked back. We've been together eleven years now, married for 7.

fairyfly · 02/05/2007 18:06

So sometimes just doing it can work better than waiting till it goes stale

We moved in together within a few months and are still together 12 years later - it's not always been perfect but no relationship is perfect all the time

southeastastra · 02/05/2007 18:11

at hoose

have you fallen in love with him, or do you think you will?

how exciting!

I got pregnant very soon after we met and then we moved in - not sure I'd recommend that but there is a certain excitement in doing everything very quickly!

Seize the day - but make sure you won't/can't get financially screwed over if it all doesn't work out (iyswim).

noddyholder · 02/05/2007 18:12

why are you tempted?

lulumama · 02/05/2007 18:12

moved in 5 months after meeting, but we were engaged after 3 weeks, and had set a date for a wedding the next week...we got married 17 months after meeting, a year to the day virtually to moving in together

we met 10 years ago in january and are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary next month

we have come through a lot together, and are still going strong

fairyfly · 02/05/2007 18:12

Well............. i've not wanted him to go home since i met him, i adore his soul, i adore his attitude, i feel safe and loved and completely different from the times i have gone for lust. I trust him and i really really know he is absolute husband material.

Do i sound like i have lost my mind?

gothicmama · 02/05/2007 18:14

Kbear · 02/05/2007 18:14

is this him with the big bouquet? woo hoo

Me and DH were friends, we had a few dates, we went away for the weekend and he pretty much moved in with me the night we got back. We have been together 17 years. Married 15.

If you know, you know.

littlemissbossy · 02/05/2007 18:14

no not lost your mind but you sound like you're worried because you feel this way - does that make sense?
