Boyfriend put kettle in the dishwasher

I am really starting to think he is actually stupid, he then watched me plug it in without telling me what he had done, it was only when it blew a fuse in the kitchen did he mention he had put it in the dishwasher for a cycle as it was dirty 🙁
We have now had a massive row as he still couldn't understand why I was upset.

How old is he?

pinkyredrose · 27/06/2017 19:26

Ltb.

SmellMyCheeseYouMother · 27/06/2017 19:27

Surely not? Shock

DespicableMeh · 27/06/2017 19:27

Twat

Bluntness100 · 27/06/2017 19:27

Wow, even kids know not to do this. Is he NT, or does he have some learning difficulties?

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 27/06/2017 19:28

Have you got life insurance op?

BewareOfDragons · 27/06/2017 19:32
Shock
mortificado · 27/06/2017 19:42

And I thought I was an idiot Wink

Who does that?!

PowerPantsRule · 27/06/2017 19:44

Why stop at the kettle? Crumbs in the toaster - in it goes. Baked beans in the microwave - shove that in too, why not?!

Ktown · 27/06/2017 19:45

Well your house will be burnt down before long.
Imagine him in charge of a child!
Get rid of him.

OSETmum · 27/06/2017 19:47

😂 Bless him for trying!

VestalVirgin · 27/06/2017 19:47

Either he is mentally impaired or he attempted to murder you and looked for an excuse when it didn't work.

That, or he wants to be banned from the kitchen so he doesn't have to do any work.

All three possible reasons are cause to end the relationship.

I couldn't be with someone who is actually that stupid.

user1498587256 · 27/06/2017 19:48

We have a child! In all seriousness I am concerned his level of understanding of certain things is challenged.

OP posts:
Highalert · 27/06/2017 19:48

Hahaha, I'd laugh at the daft sod.

ThomasRichard · 27/06/2017 19:49

Is he under a serious amount of stress or on medication that causes confusion?

VestalVirgin · 27/06/2017 19:49

Does he have a job? Is he that obtuse in other contexts?

I am shocked you didn't find out he was so stupid before having a child together. He must have hidden it well.

That, or, as I said, he pretends incompetence to get out of having to do his share of work.

RelaxMax · 27/06/2017 19:51

Um....wow. That is pretty stupid.

MollyWantsACracker · 27/06/2017 19:52

Hard to know what to say here. Is this unusual behaviour?
We all have our moments, but....?

ItsNachoCheese · 27/06/2017 19:53

Jesus... does he have a death wish? Confused

iMatter · 27/06/2017 19:58

That's beyond stupid.

I was going to say he is a man child but I don't know any children who are that stupid.

Babyblues14 · 27/06/2017 20:00

I would LTB.
He could of blown your house up.
What an idiot

user1498587256 · 27/06/2017 20:00

He has done some really stupid stuff before but this is the worst, but what's upsetting/worrying me most is that he doesn't see how big a mistake it was.

OP posts:
nuggetofchicken · 27/06/2017 20:02

It's sort of laughable but something seriously bad could have happened so it's worrying he doesn't see that.

Goingtobeawesome · 27/06/2017 20:02

Is it one with the plug attached to the base? i.e. Didn't go in the dishwasher.

Cailleach666 · 27/06/2017 20:03

That's so funny.
