Boyfriend put kettle in the dishwasher

I am really starting to think he is actually stupid, he then watched me plug it in without telling me what he had done, it was only when it blew a fuse in the kitchen did he mention he had put it in the dishwasher for a cycle as it was dirty 🙁
We have now had a massive row as he still couldn't understand why I was upset.

Is he a bit thick in general?

some people have a problem with executive function and think ing of the consequences of their actions. (like ex) can be common in those with autism or who were born prematurely apparently. (explained a lot about ex. )
