He doesn't know I know he is really shy about things and this sometimes affects our sex life because when we are on vacation he doesn't have time alone and we have LOTS of sex its great, but back home again 2-3 times per week and he does hisself in between?

that is too funny, I only get upset if it has been a few days since sex and I'm in the mood and he has wanked and can't seem to get it up too easily or not at all he can only go one round per day and sometimes if he is really super tired, it just aint happenin. I guess the lotion and baby oil make it feel wet like the real thing, I'm assuming. Some people have caught their dh wanking next to them in bed, hey, that would piss me off, either roll over and let me join in or go in the bathroom. I used to make my x dh wank in front of me, what a turn on but my new dh is just too bashful

A few years ago we lived ina house that backed on to a row of terraces and a young couple lived opposite and the girl was always flouncing in and out of kitchen with nothing on ( upstairs flat ). My dh had got up to go to work and went to have a shower . I needed the loo as heavily pregnant and disturbed hi - he was stood leaning over the sink looking out the window and I have never seen him move so fast when I came in and I said 'what you doing' and he said 'nothing' and the funny thing is he had got in the shower with his glasses on and then tried to say that he often did that !!

Anna, where are these people, for whom we do not have to look far (allegedly) who think masturbation is disgusting??? Most people know it is normal and healthy.. this view is even taught in schools! Do try not to bring your child(ren) up with that attitude won't you.. it would be a shame for them to think that it's dirty, shameful and disgusting when this is not the truth.

My boys know if they're having a fiddle they have to go to their room, also know it's normal. Dh's dad is repressed sexually, as is dh so I don't want them growing up that way. I'm the opposite hence exdh

I think it is healthy, it releases tension for the man, as long as they don't prefer it to sex, sometimes they need that quick release, nothing dirty about it. I never really new if my ex dh did it, never really cared until we were ttc a baby, which is the case now otherwise, I could care less but come on, around ovulation he needs to be wankfree! lol

I've never "caught" my husband wanking (strange turn of phrase really, implies wrongdoing to start with), but I have, erm, helped occasionally. And as shinyhappypeople says, there is something v. sexy about the idea of it.

they shouldn't use lotion or baby oil. Lube is the biz. Water based good but doesn't last as long as silicone based and that's waterproof too. You shouldn't use silicone based with silicone toys though as it can ruin them.
