am I the only one who just doesn't believe that all men are into porn?

of course some are, and of course in a lot of relationships it is a problem, and indeed in some it isn't, but I really just don't believe that most men buy/download/possess porn of some kind as has been suggested on here many times.

so am I the only one who believes this? I know my dh certainly doesn't have any.

You are very kink-aware, Fio.

Tutter · 09/02/2007 16:49

ah but is she poly kink aware?

Aloha · 09/02/2007 16:49

Didn't you see it? A thread headed 'Are you poly or kink-aware', asking if any mnetters were into all-in-one-knitwear, gimp suits et al. It is one of my favourite MN thread titles EVER.

Polly Kink-Aware, rather saucy It-girl.

nailpolish · 09/02/2007 16:50

dh's favourite babe is Jo Guest, says it all really

when questioned "but why?" he says she would be a good laugh on a night out

porn is over-rated and how anyone can take it seriously is beyond me.

don't start again....we had moved on from there

nailpolish · 09/02/2007 16:51

everyone has at least a mild interest in porn - how can you not? if you see a jazz mag you just cant help but stare, you have to force yourself not to even glance at it

motherinferior · 09/02/2007 16:51

I'm with the self-deceivers, clearly. I've asked my partner about porn and I do, as it happens, believe his response that frankly if it were all cheery women volunteering to show off their sexual prowess he might feel a bit different, but he knows a bit too much about the porn industry to feel comfortable with the outcome.

motherinferior · 09/02/2007 16:53

I also think that the 'oh poor me, completely dominated by their Y chromosomes, they can't help it' line is deeply demeaning to everyone.

motherinferior · 09/02/2007 16:54

well yes actually he does!

dassie · 09/02/2007 16:56

Responding to OP - my dh doesn't buy/download/possess porn. I know this because there is nowhere he could hide it!

Doesn't mean he wouldn't look (and potentially get excited if some came on the tv).

Sure he used it as a teenager but he says he just doesn't like it. I trust him because we have discussed it before and he knows I don't have a problem with it.

if there is something pornish on tv he will say 'hey M - this is up your street' and watch it but he is quite likely to get bored - whereas me.....
