I got completely sucked in to the sordid affair thread Makes me so cross that people would do that I actually worried about that woman this morning what I waste of everyone's time. Khalisi I also read the spin off thread, bloody hilarious and made me feel better that I wasn't the only one that thought it was genuine. Honestly I need to stop veering over to read other threads, bloody scary what people do to fill their time

Fox the mystery of the missing macaroons was solved yesterday. the girl in question finally confessed to nicking them from one of my DD2s best friends. She's a right madam this girl and I'm glad that all instincts led to this conclusion and that the little shit was caught out! I can't stand liars and thieves, they get right on my norks.

Feeling a bit low this morning, can't put my finger on it, could be that fact that it's a lovely sunny day and I'm going to work! I wish I could be a lady what lunches, why oh why do I feel constantly on a hamster wheel?

Just reading back, Faire, on your recommendation I bought Elizabeth is Missing. What a wonderful, funny, poignant read, thank you. I've just started Ladies of Grace Adieu, but think it might annoy me, so I'll be going back to Total Recall (training for gun dogs).

Breaking out the Becks Blue. I know lots of Babes talk about it, but I always avoided 'pretend beer', just like I avoid 'pretend meat' as a vegetarian, but it's been a revelation, and has saved me a good few units over the last couple of weeks.

Sweet I got Where'd you go Bernadette from the library yesterday. I seem to remember you read it a while ago? I'm really enjoying it so far. Pepsi Max time for me I think.

Becks blue has worked for me, Sweet - I understand why people are nervous of 'substitutes', but since I wasn't a massive lager drinker anyway it hasn't been a trigger. I have a couple of bottles, religiously, at witching hour and it's worked well - I'm not sure I would have stayed AF without it. Mind you I did once get pulled over by the police for drinking it in the car! Both they and I were mildly embarrassed.

I loved Elizabeth is Missing, too. I've noticed how much more I have read this year and it's been a revelation actually being able to remember the content!

Me too, Small, I've not only read more, (fiction that is, I don't count undergrad essays, journal articles or scholarly monographs) but I've been more advebturous in what I read. at being pulled over for drinking Becks Blue! It annoys me every time the self-checkout tells me I need authorisation to buy it!
