Facebook feed of new guy. Thoughts?

Just wondering what others would make of this:

Been with new guy for 5 months. Went to his place to watch something with his family. During a break, he was scrolling through his FB. Pic after pic after pic was semi naked models, bikini models, 'fitness' models etc. Semi-clad boobs and asses galore. They would have made up 9 out of 10 of the posts on his feed.

Would this bother you?

Yes I'd LTB

JohnFarleysRuskin · 01/05/2015 15:36

Yeah

ALaughAMinute · 01/05/2015 15:36

Not if it was just pictures it wouldn't but I would be put off if he watched a lot of porn. Do you think he has a porn problem?

CrispyFern · 01/05/2015 15:37

Yes I'd think he was immature, and kind of, well, stupid. Sorry!

GrumpleMe · 01/05/2015 15:38

I don't think he has a porn problem.

Crispyfern... That's pretty much my reaction too!

Er, yes, it would bother me.

Dull wank material >> dull wanker.

ALaughAMinute · 01/05/2015 15:41

I suppose it depends on how old he is. If he's 15 or 18 then maybe I could understand it, but if he's a grown man I would seriously think about LTB!

GrumpleMe · 01/05/2015 15:44

I found it a massive turn off, but wondered if I was over-reacting. He is 45yo.

I discussed it with a friend, and did say that I wanted to be with a man, not a teenage boy...

Allstoppedup · 01/05/2015 15:46

Were they on his page or on his feed? To be fair he might have an annoying friend who posts a lot of them...

Tragically on my news feed that 'friend' is my dad- which is gross but I quite frequently have to scroll past a few "Korean babes" or "Ukrainian beauties" - granted not as many as it sounds but could a friend have been on a pervert binge and they were all showing up because that?

JohnFarleysRuskin · 01/05/2015 15:48

In defence of 15 yr olds- Ds facebook page looks nothing like that. I'm glad Hes not a twat.

GrumpleMe · 01/05/2015 15:49

No, they were all from pages he'd 'liked'. Pages dedicated to those sorts of pics, from what I could see.

He has since apologised. But really only for looking at the pages while sitting next to me...which isn't really the point.

I'd find it a massive turn off, especially from anyone over 18, and it would probably be the beginning of the end of my relationship. Is he a bit "laddish" in general or was this a bolt from the blue?

Lotsofponies · 01/05/2015 16:00

Not the sort of fellow I would be interested in, sounds a bit laddish and disrespectful.

Allstoppedup · 01/05/2015 16:00

Ahh grumple no excuses then! One or two really wouldn't bother me but the amount you describe, seeing as he liked them himself seems a bit immature as others have said.

GatoNaranja · 01/05/2015 16:03

Oh god he sounds like a bellend. Can you really imagine a future with a man that gets of on slutty images? Life's too short, move on!

Vagabond · 01/05/2015 16:03

Maybe he just needs to change his habits because he knows no better. Depends on how old he is. We ancient folk over 40 don't get the obsession with social media and obsessively checking your phone.

PurpleSwift · 01/05/2015 16:05

Massive turn off. I'd lose respect for him and if probably back off

FruitOwl · 01/05/2015 16:05

Yep. Stopped dating a guy a couple of years ago for exactly the same reason. Just found it really cringey more than anything! No regrets Smile

PlumpingThePartTimeMother · 01/05/2015 16:07

That would put me off massively.

AmyElliotDunne · 01/05/2015 16:11

Just out of interest do you ever like or share pics of hot firemen or celebs you fancy? Only asking because the only 'perving' posts I ever see on my FB are half naked men and smouldering black and white photos of slebs that my friends are drooling over. I do wonder how they would feel if their OHs were looking at the equivalent type of pics of women.

Personally I would think it a bit sad if my DP had that sort of stuff as a public setting so that everyone knew what he'd been looking at. I don't mind porn per se, I know men like looking at boobs, but there's a time and a place and for me, sharing with friends and family on FB is neither.

Stringmeupscotty · 01/05/2015 16:11

Eurgh, clearly a twat. LTB

GrumpleMe · 01/05/2015 16:47

He's not laddish in any other way. It was bloody disappointing to see, tbh. Made my heart sink.

OP posts:
noodle8000 · 01/05/2015 16:51

No way would I date a guy like that.

HellonHeels · 01/05/2015 22:42

That would put me right off. Hasn't he got any real interests other than looking at semi-naked women?

I would not be interested in anyone (male or female) who had that kind of objectifying eye candy type of stuff on their facebook.

Bluestocking · 01/05/2015 22:46

He's 45 and doesn't know that you don't flick through lots of objectifying images in front of your partner? He sounds like a real loser.
