Hello, I'm Mouse Smile

This is the brave babes bus, Gerald. He travels far and wide, to wherever he's needed to offer non judgemental support, advice and Opal Fruits!!

We can tell you about the kind of places that can help, your GP can be the first and easiest place to start, or you can look up you local community addiction centre, or even just come onto the thread and let it all out.

There are posters here who have been on the Bus from the start and those who have just joined us Smile

It doesn't matter how long you've been here, the fact that you have taken that first amazing step in acknowledging that maybe, just maybe, things aren't quite right with your drinking is truly MASSIVE!!

This is a safe place for you to just be and to be as honest as you like, or just to talk.

We'll listen Smile

And if you'd like to see our last thread, you can JUST HERE

Plus if you'd like to see where these threads all began, you can read all about that YOU CAN READ THIS VERY EMOTIONAL AND MOVING THREAD

See you soon,

Well that short trip took 3 hours. Major tyre blow out on way home. But I'm all organised. RAC card in car, phone them. High viz jackets and led armbands on, out of car into freezing rain and wind. Then occurs to me I should notify police that two women are alone on hard shoulder in the dark, waiting for rescue. Soon the place roll up. All fine. While we are waiting, they run my details through their computer....did you know your MOT has expired madam? WTF???????
£100 fine, one shredded tyre and one MoT now overdue which means I have no car till god knows when and dh off to Liverpool on Thursday in his car.
When is all this going to stop?????

fevversbetterout · 10/03/2015 01:42

Jeez ma, you'd think they could have overlooked the MOT, given the circumstances. It must be easy to forget, now that the discs aren't displayed. Sorry for your troubles. Must have been a slow night for plod.

Khalisi · 10/03/2015 09:14

Morning, Babes!

Five seconds to go from Grin at "I hear fevvers is quite generous with her t--s"

to Shock at ma's troubles last night!!! Literally, just gaped at the pc open-mouthed!
When it rains, it pours. Flowers babes. Really sorry.

Started the day off on a high with an hour yoga session. Then got lost on the road but instead of stress, total calm and thinking, you will find your way and then the day will continue as planned.

Rather triste day over here.

Be good, Babes!

lookingforhope · 10/03/2015 10:55

Aw Ma Flowers. You just can't catch a break can you? Shame the police pick on easy targets instead of toerags like the ones who robbed my garage and got away with it Angry

fevversbetterout · 10/03/2015 15:53

Ma in an attempt to distract you from your current woes, I've just spent half an hour trying to photograph an exotic bug who landed on the table and freaked me out. We've called him Kevin. If he is a new species, i hope I will be immortalized through his latin name.(Kevin fevversoviae) We live in a place where houses are tropical/modern. This means that anything outside can get inside. We have a wee garden thingy in the main living space. A street dog has moved in after convincing us that he is too old to hang about on the road. He is currently digging a hole in the garden thingy. We are whistling the tune to "The Great Escape". If I can work out how to send a pic, I will show you Kevin.

dementedma · 10/03/2015 16:28

fevvers well we have a squid called Barrie, a dog called Spirit who rides in the sidecar, a camel who appears at Christmas and the occasional horse so why not a bug called Kevin!
Welcome Kevin.
(Disclaimer: if Kevin is actually a spider then the deal is off!)

SweetLathyrus · 10/03/2015 17:37

Evening all.

Been non-stop today, in the garden, at the pet store, at the vets, emergency run to sainsbury's for DS stationary he didn't tell me he needed. Phew!

A tense truce has been arrived at between Puss and Pup. And pleased to report that we have mastered 'sit', and Pup's RL name.

Ma hope you have a better night tonight.

Need to sit down with my Ginger Beer. Be back later.

fevversbetterout · 10/03/2015 17:50

Ma my husband is a biologist... Kevin is not a spider. My son thinks he may be a kind of grasshopper. Attempts to upload have failed,so far.
Sweet, what is pup's Not Real Life Name? I think our street dog's NRLN is Ponsonby-Smythe, or Pig-pen.

fevversbetterout · 10/03/2015 18:24

Faez · 10/03/2015 19:49

ewww could Kev be a Mole Cricket?

dementedma · 10/03/2015 20:12

He's definitely cricketty/grasshopperish! Keep him under control in case someone with a huge arse indie sits on him!

aliasjoey · 10/03/2015 20:59

He seems to have appendages at every corner?

dementedma · 10/03/2015 21:02

Appendages at every corner?
Interesting!

fevversbetterout · 11/03/2015 01:02

Joey, he flew in, so even more appendages than are evident in this pic.

SweetLathyrus · 11/03/2015 06:49

That is horrible, Fevvers, if I'd been drinking, I would think I was hallucinating! How was AF day one?

Faez Welcome to the bus.

How are you doing Cructched.

Hello everyone else - name-checking is a bit difficult at the moment, since I have one eye out for puddles.

I'm feeling good at the moment - all that puppy enthusiasm round the place. and my green house arrives today too,so i need clear some space, and will be back later. Have a good, AF day if you can.

Rubyredlips · 11/03/2015 07:33

Morning all. Just had a Grin at the posts apart from Ma Shock and mean police.

Enjoy your day s

SweetLathyrus · 11/03/2015 07:50

Morning Ruby Have a good one yerself Smile.

Just checked, and today is day 70. But I am laying aside the smock of smug, just to say I am so thankful, thankful to feel fresh and clear and light. As tempting as the idea of a cool glass of Sancerre might be, I am scared to lose this feeling. It is the best feeling ever Babes, try it for yourselves.

SmallFox · 11/03/2015 08:37

Sweet - I second all you have said (though the mention of Sancerre provoked an unexpected pang at 8.30am!). I really wouldn't give this feeling up lightly.

Enjoy the green house, hope you have lovely spring-y weather for its unveiling.

SweetLathyrus · 11/03/2015 08:50

Sorry about that Small Grin. I'm finding, "It'll still be there tomorrow." a very powerful thought process, as a positive version of "Jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, but never jam today".

It's arriving today; erection at the weekend Grin

SmallFox · 11/03/2015 10:10

Sweet - that's so unfair, I struggled for ages to avoid using the word erection in my post. Grr!

Good morning, Babes!

Oh Sweet! You naughty babe!
Never to early for an erection!!! Grin

Have a good one, Babes!

SweetLathyrus · 11/03/2015 13:36

Isinde, it's not the falling off that matters, it's how often you get back on again Smile. Other hat the booze, was it a good trip?

Grin, Small, it had to be said Grin.

Tee. hee, hee Khalisi.

fevversbetterout · 11/03/2015 14:05

Sweet, I had one glass when Kevin made his debut. I stopped before having to put on my jammies and brushing my teeth. Kevin was released into the wild.....So AF day fail, but moderation success? Honestly didn't stand on him by mistake. Whatever he is, he is out there, freaking out the neighbourhood.

dementedma · 11/03/2015 14:15

grim when even the bugs are leaving the bus..........

dad in hospital. Care worker found him on the floor today but couldn't do anything because "we are not allowed to."
Phoned her office for advice then phoned an ambulance. Presumably just stepping over him as she did.............

indie yes please to the wave of the magic wand
