This is the brave babes bus, Gerald. He travels far and wide, to wherever he's needed to offer non judgemental support, advice and Opal Fruits!!

We can tell you about the kind of places that can help, your GP can be the first and easiest place to start, or you can look up you local community addiction centre, or even just come onto the thread and let it all out.

There are posters here who have been on the Bus from the start and those who have just joined us Smile

It doesn't matter how long you've been here, the fact that you have taken that first amazing step in acknowledging that maybe, just maybe, things aren't quite right with your drinking is truly MASSIVE!!

This is a safe place for you to just be and to be as honest as you like, or just to talk.

We'll listen Smile

Ruby have you talked to him about his temper? Didn't he shout at you in front of friends a couple of weeks ago? He doesn't seem very in control of it.

Gulp, I have just left a message for someone with puppies for sale. Fingers crossed the little girl I would like is still available. I'm seeing this as part of my recovery from depression.

SweetLathyrus · 04/03/2015 10:44

Khalisi I feel like I have been stuck inside since we moved in, so this week, the ironing can wait and the dust can settle. The sun, the smell of the soil warming up is balm for my soul Smile.

guggenheim · 04/03/2015 11:29

Hello lovelies,

going to have another af night tonight, making a grand total of 2 in a week.FFS!

Much love to all x

aliasjoey · 04/03/2015 15:11

hello there babes hope you've all got a lovely sunny day where you are

isinde good to see you, are you still being the international high-flying business woman jetting off to exotic places Blackpool ?

ma don't know what to say, apart from 'hang on in on there twinkie, your day will come' Any chance your midget sailor will come and sweep you off to a better life? (I've seen An Officer and a Gentleman - I know how these things are supposed to happen) When is your sequin-dress-evening?

sweets yeah I remember those days at school! We had the HEAF test - 6 little pinpricks to determine if you needed the BCG vaccine or not. Well, the rumour went round that it was 6 normal huge sized needles, and they were fired into you all at the same time from a special delivery gun. There was mass hysteria...

SweetLathyrus · 04/03/2015 15:59

You can do it Gugs, and maybe you'll feel like doing it all over again tomorrow. Come and post if you feel the WW pulling you.

I love school rumors, Joey - the first years (showing my age) all get their heads flushed down the toilet in the first week was a good one. I can still see my HEAF sometimes when I have a tan.

Well, I got my branches chopped, and some more plants repotted, and two new trays of seeds started. Puss kept me company and made her first foray out of the garden and into the trees behind. I'm happier she wants to come back now!

Rubyredlips · 04/03/2015 16:31

Yes Sweet I've talked to dh about his anger but it continues to happen. I'm so exhausted I can't keep my eyes open so going home.

SweetLathyrus · 04/03/2015 19:20

Missed the puppy by an hour, oh well, the right one will come along.

Ruby, get yourself an early night.

Ma, look after yourself tonight. You will begin to feel better after a few AF nights (albeit enforced).

Khalisi · 04/03/2015 19:48

10km in an hour. Shock
I am shocked at how fit some people are. OMG.
They run back and gather the crawlers. Blush
Fanatics.
One day. I will kick their arses.
One day.

Hi Babes,

How is everyone tonight?

Rubyredlips · 04/03/2015 19:48

In bed. Take care all.

Rubyredlips · 04/03/2015 19:51

I've run 10k in 57 mins - are you saying that an hour is good or not so Khalisi?

Khalisi · 04/03/2015 19:57

I've just lost three posts!!! Angry

I think an hour is bloody fantastic, Ruby!!!
I'm intimidated by the fact that some of them run 10k in less than 45.
Because of course for them, an hour is a slow run. Whereas for me, right now anyway, it is hard.

Khalisi · 04/03/2015 20:22

Sorry about the puppy, Sweet.

Good night, Babes.
I'm freezing and really sleepy.

Rubyredlips · 04/03/2015 20:45

Ah yes Khalisi 45 mins, I know what you mean. Not gonna happen here! Wink

Khalisi · 05/03/2015 07:40

Good morning, darling Babes!

Still a bit k.o. from last night but also feeling the rush that comes with completing something hard.

Have a good one, every one!

SweetLathyrus · 05/03/2015 07:49

Morning.

10km in an hour seems A-Ma-Zing to me, Ruby, Khalisi. I am definitely joining the beginners club this evening, but I only have little legs, so cant imagine ever getting to that sort of speed. At my fittest a couple of years ago, I could keep up 7.5km ph for an hour on a treadmill, but that's not 'real' running.

I fell asleep at 9 last night and was sent to bed by DH. I wish I could stay awake, but I must have years of broken sleep to catch on.

The plan for today is more gardening, (yes I am officially obsessed, and you wouldn't believe how happy I am that Gardener's World is back on Friday!!).

What ever day you're on, make it an AF one, all those little minutes soon add up.

Rubyredlips · 05/03/2015 08:48

Morning all.

Enjoy your gardening Sweet and your running.
Khalisi lots of fluids today to help revive yourself.
I will get back to running at some point, got a rotten cold today - bleargh....

SmallFox · 05/03/2015 12:59

Hello everyone and hope you're all doing ok.

Sweet I am interested by what you say about sleep. I am in the same place as you - I could literally sleep all the time and having expected to need a lot of sleep in the first couple of weeks AF, I am a little baffled to discover I still seem to need to go to bed at 9pm, even 60-odd days into it. Do you think this is our bodies still responding to the absence of alcohol or is it just habit now? It is very strange - not necessarily a bad thing, just that I thought I'd have loads of energy by now, and I really don't. Oh well. Snore.

Hope the sun is shining where you all are.

SweetLathyrus · 05/03/2015 13:29

It is sunny here, and I have been getting muddy, digging out another ugly municipal looking shrub (the previous owners seemed to only plant the short of things you see in supermarket car parks!).

Small that's actually really comforting to hear, that you are having the same experience. I wonder if it's because I am actually getting more done in the day? Maybe one of the Babes with experience of long dry stretches might have some light to shed> Soc, Marfisa, Venus?

I have an appointment to see another puppy tomorrow evening. A very handsome chocolate boy cocker this time.

dementedma · 05/03/2015 20:38

Checking in. We have decided to get the flat valued with a view to selling. I dont know where we will go. But it will get rid of the shared mortgage.

aliasjoey · 05/03/2015 22:35

ma that's... Interesting? Why does your DH think you're doing that? I mean, have you had the talk? (Sorry if I'm not clear, am in the sidecar)

aliasjoey · 06/03/2015 00:38

Hellloooo

aliasjoey · 06/03/2015 00:41

Where is everybody?

I am drunk

And stupid
